I've not needed to edit other people's posts in my yahoo groups though occasionally I've put people on moderation. I was once in an academic group (!), not yahoo, where someone was very abusive to me.

Ro, I'm assuming you mean a post made by that member, a member cannot edit other people's posts. There isn't a general control to disable that capability. If it is a specific message you are concerned

Hi I believe only owners and moderators can edit posts. Not regular members. I am a moderator of one group. Signed in, I can edit posts. I have another login for the same group - just as a member.
