Somehow you managed to corrupt your browser's saved login credentials. Open Chrome, browse to chrome://settings/passwords , find the row for your groups.io login, and check for errors. See also

I have discovered the problem of not being able to sign in is being caused by the Google Chrome browser (Which I use all the time), as using the Microsoft Edge browser lets me sign in like normal.
