The Direct Add email is not an invitation. It is a notice that they've already been added to the group. I don't think this email can be overridden. There are legal reasons why a person joining a group

Getting a new email address is extreme, and totally unnecessary. Subscribers do not appear in the Directory unless they opt in.? See Subscription->Group Profile->Edit Group Profile. On this page

Steve, you can pay for your group to have the direct functionality. That would be skipping the whole invite process and the approval process.

On a free group, it's either an invitation, by email to the group subscribe address, or they apply online.? If you upgrade to a Premium group, you can direct add them and they also won't need to
