FWIW, I've noticed that my pending messages up to March 1 are shown as delivered in the individual Email Delivery History. After that date, new pending members do not have that shown on their Email

You already can. Just go to Admin->Settings and click on "member notices." Create your custom invitation, make it active, and save it. /static/help#membernotices
