Re: Tracking Pending Member and Welcome Messages
J_Catlady
I currently have two pending members, neither of which shows any email delivery history. I know that one of them received the pending member notice, because they responded to it. I have no idea about the second one and am going through what has become the normal process of debating what to do about it - contact them outside the system? resend the notice again? contact Mark? etc. These messages have been going missing in my group for YEARS and it is getting old. I welcome the influx of new members to GMF and beta because of all of you who are in agreement with me that there needs to be a web-based text box or questionnaire. I keep pushing Mark on this.. Re: Invitations to join
Or an even lower-tech solution would be to just put a link on your web page to the home page of your group. If you have a public group it should have a "Join This Group" button on it.

Re: Invitations to join
Both of my YG and IO groups appeared in searches, but the YG one appeared on the first page of a search, while the newly formed IO group was about four pages back. Once the activity on the YG ended, and increased on the IO group, the IO group replaced the YG on the first page of a search. I could be wrong, but I think it had something to do with activity. ? Don ? Subject: Re: [GMF] Invitat6ions to join ? Thanks for the replies, but i dont think anybody pointed me in the direction I wanted to go, other than negatively, perhaps! ? SO do I take it that there is no way to put a group address on a websigte or elsewhere asking people to join, with a, or the, group address eg Groups.io/M0VOG? ????? ? Yahoo group appear in the search machines, but it seems from the replies that "IO" groups dont, so how does anybody find M0VOG??? ? Mike ? ? ?

No, unfortunately you have to do that by hand. I've suggested that Mark include an option during the transfer "make moderated members NuM" but no response yet. It should probably be suggested to him again on beta. On Wed, Mar 7, 2018 at 8:16 AM, David Simmons <davidaamrc@...> wrote: I recently migrated my group [email protected] from Yahoo Groups.? If the member mutes a topic or a hashtag, those messages won't appear in their digest. Digests are customized. That won't really work because the email won't include a link for them to click on to accept membership. On Wed, Mar 7, 2018 at 7:58 AM, Bruce Bowman <bruce.bowman@...> wrote: >> I would love to be able to compose an invitation from scratch. |

Re: Fotos from YG to Google Drive?
Probably the best you can do at this point is put a hyperlink to the Google Drive containing the photos in your links database. A more prominent place to display some additional hyperlinks (like on the home page) would generally enhance the utility of groups.io. At this time only your web site can be placed there.

M0VOGI just did a Google search on this string. Your groups.io group was the third entry in the hit list. For a subscription link, go to Admin->Promote and scroll down. You should see a box containing raw html that can be pasted directly into your web site. Bruce |

I get digest for this group and never see those settings? She told me she has this on other groups here? Am I missing the setting and how to set this up for digest? If she deletes the message does the message get deleted from the whole group? Thanks Anita |

You already can. Just go to Admin->Settings and click on "member notices." Create your custom invitation, make it active, and save it. /static/help#membernotices |

Thanks for the advice. I'll get back with her later today. By the way, it's Colette asking. Sharon was giving assistance. Thanks, Colette Sanders On Wed, Mar 7, 2018 at 9:36 AM, Frances <frances@...> wrote:
