Here in GMF, you're set to Daily Summary. This reflects only new topics. If your Moderators send a message to an existing topic, you will receive nothing.
?
If all that seems okay, look at your own Email Delivery History and report back what you find. You'll find that at Subscription>Delivery History.

Hope this helps,

I've just set up email forwarding from a test gmail account I have to Groups.io and it works fine. I suspect the reason that Groups.io is rejecting the confirmation email is because you have not set Allow Nonmembers to Post in your Message Policies. ?

As you can see, if you don't have this, messages will be rejected.? When this is set, the confirmation message will be held in the pending message queue where you can view it and click on the confirmation link.? Once that is done, you need to go back to the Gmail account and enable the forwarding. You can also delete the confirmation message from the pending queue.

Have you

original post: 510 5.1.1 Your email address, forwarding-noreply@...,
is not subscribed to that group. To subscribe, send an email to [email protected],
or visit /g/p7j3q9k5)
What you are saying is to log into my mom's groups.io and create an alias of forwarding-noreply@.... That just doesn't seem right either. What alias will I use for another, new group member that I want to forward their gmail to the group? It will report the SAME forwarding-noreply@...... Based on these facts how does ANYONE trying to forward a gmail to a groups.io work at all? No one has addressed these facts. No one has addressed the fact that I have gmail forwards to some of my other groups that were created long ago do NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM and no aliases and they work fine! Something bad has happened at gmail and or groups.io that has broken this and no one has addressed this. Long ago I moved all my goggle groups to groups.io and many had gmail forwards and NONE of them had this problem. Why can't someone explain why this is broken now and how to fix it. I dont have any "alias" for any of all these I setup long ago.... thanks for trying. regards rich On 10/9/24 9:02 AM, Christos Psarras

Yes, I see the link takes you to main page. It does seem odd.?
?
Have you tried the other button on that page - Log In if you are already a member. That doesn't seem to show if you are already logged into Groups.io ?(or at least for me). I tried with a private window and then I see that button.

Re: Is this worthy of worry? The Future of .io Websites Is Uncertain
Despite the article at the attached link n the OP's post, if anything like what's suggested in the article should come to pass, I'm betting that Mark Fletcher is aware of that and likely already has a plan in place for such an eventuality.

Joined group but still can't get it
Hello GMF
I'm pretty sure that I joined a new group on GroupsIO as I have the confirmation email (see extract below) ?
?
But when I click on the link, I end up on their home page and at the bottom, there is the +Join This Group blue button. Also, this group has not been added to the My Groups list, so I can't find a way into it to read posts or start a new topic myself.
Is this me missing something simple or a bug? Thanks |

True -if added to the group as a separate account-, but if you had a paid*** group you could direct-add her so no confirmation email would be sent out. (*** or setup an integration as Bruce mentioned) But the alias part is no worry, there are no confirmation emails sent to an alias since it's not a regular account but just a nickname, so no group emails or whatnot will ever go to that alias. Aliases just allow someone to post something from a different email address but when posted it looks like it came from the main address, not the alias. All group messages (if this account was setup to receive them) would go to the main address, not the alias. I dont know how to create an alias. I did some searching but didnt find it. That info would be in the User manual, not the Owner manual, it's in here. You need to be logged in as her, go to the upper right of screen where the account settings are, all the way down click on Aliases, add the address and save. Cheers, Christos |

Re: How do I DELETE a Sub-Group and all of its parts?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWhew! I did it. You led me to the wording and then to the place I needed to be. I did, however, comment before I did it ¨C and I did it with great reluctance. The button I clicked (as you told me) read ¡°DELETE GROUP¡±!!! But¡this was a SUB GROUP. That was an uneasy feeling. I commented that, in this case the button should read ¡°DELETE SUBGROUP¡±. I've never found a use or need for subgroup categories but there is some documentation in the Owner's Manual. ? Regards Andy |

How do I DELETE a Sub-Group and all of its parts?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI¡¯ve looked through HELP. I¡¯ve viewed (and attempted) the ¡°Using subgroups¡±, ¡°overview¡±, ¡°creating a subgroup¡±, and ¡°Using subgroup categories¡± sections. ? I had a specific function ¨C a ¡®50th Anniversary on the job¡¯ party/discussion for one group member. With your help, I figured out how to create a subgroup and exclude that single member of the group from that subgroup, then open the entire topic up to the rest of the group ¨C allowing those who didn¡¯t want to be involved to ¡®opt out¡¯ of that subgroup. THAT worked amazingly well. I can easily see using this procedure to set up ¡®working groups¡¯ for projects, etc. But don¡¯t want to end up with 2, 10, 50 or more subgroups that no longer have any function or use. ? Now the event is past. And there¡¯s no reason to keep/archive/continue the subgroup or its contents ¨C messages, etc. I just want to Delete the entire subgroup, all of its contents, messages and such. But I don¡¯t see a way to dump it all. ? BTW, I don¡¯t really understand/comprehend the ¡°subgroup category¡± unit or purpose. ? Re: groups.io will not accept a group's member's e.mail forward from gmail
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýBut then why do a number of my other gmail forwarders created several years ago STILL work? they were done in the same way. 1. create groups.io member with gmail address, 2. at gmail accept groups.io auth, 3. change groups.io member's email to "none" (to prevent loop), 4. change gmail to forward to groups.io, 5. accept the gmail confirmation ??? something must be broken... regards rich On 10/8/24 5:08 PM, Bruce Bowman via

Re: groups.io will not accept a group's member's e.mail forward from gmail
Yes, forwarders will often mangle the sending address. And much of the reason for that is specifically to avoid dupe loops.
?
The best way to get this to work reliably is to set up an integration address in your group p7j3q9k5 and forward messages to that address instead.?
?
?
Please note that integrations are a feature of paid groups.
