So suspect its your system/ISP that may be the problem rather than groups.io Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 24/07/2023 14:31, Nancy P via groups.io wrote:

What do you mean by "authenticate?" In my experience, dragging the msg from spam to inbox suffices, for my own personal Gmail account, not limited to . Is that what you mean by "authentication"? -P.? No, I'm not using the app. I'm using my Macbook.

I think if the hopeful recipient puts the group address into Contacts, that should solve the problem.

It could be that the member has been marking messages from Groups.io as spam or there may be something within the message that it doesn't like.? Google not permitting messages from our Group
Hello,We've recently sent two messages to one of our members whose emails are delivered via his Google account and on each occasion we received this:gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com: 550 5.7.1 [66.175.222.12 12] Our system has detected that this message is likely unsolicited mail. Re: Needing help (member list on website)
Thank you to everyone that helped!!!!? It was still changed in my preferences from the first time, but the group that I wanted it changed in, didn't change. What I realized is that I had to be on that group's page, and then go to my account and do it again. Then, it changed in that group, too!!!

Hi there, Awhile back, I asked for some help with a problem I was having, and in the process of helping me with that, my member list on the website became one long list, rather than pages of member names. I have tried and tried to redo that with another list, but cannot for the life of me find the place that changes that. Can someone help me out? Thanks! Linda |

Is there a way to exclude a subgroup from main messages?Subgroup members must be members of the main group. However they can set their main group to No-Mail or to Special Notices only so they don't get the email. You can also make subgroups more private? - don't list them in the side menu in the main group - don't let main group members read subgroup messages both in Visibility, in Admin, Settings. You can disallow or allow main group members from posting in the subgroup. The Help says: Once someone is a member of the parent group, they can subscribe directly to the subgroup (if permitted), they can be added directly to the subgroup, or they can ask to join the subgroup (if it is restricted).
Use Group Type And Moderation to adjust.
