Re: reinstating bouncing members
My group has never been more than 250 members in its 20-year history, and generally has never had more than three bouncing members at a time, over time. I've sent bounce probes many times over the years, but not often has that brought bounced member back to the group. Because I know the email link might go into a spam folder and be overlooked, I send a personized email with my none Groups.io address to these members telling them are bouncing, figuring if they don't receive and respond to my personal email, then these members have a problem they are going to have to resolve on their own.

Re: reinstating bouncing members
We are still experiencing this issue as well.? We have repeatedly sent the 157 members (was 200) bounce probes only to find out that the bounce message is going into their junk folder.? As a result we sent out 200 individual messages (11 at a time)? via our gmail account (we couldn't bulk email all 200 due to gmail restrictions).
We don't believe the bounce probes are effective since they are destined for the junk folder and unless the receiver looks there regularly, they never get the message.?? Very frustrating. -- --- CoProS Owner |

Reply To Sender and subject line

Hi All,
?
I've been noticing that when I go to respond to an email that came through groups.io and I click on the Reply to Sender, it alters the subject line and garbage comes out.
?
Here's an example.
?
This is the original subject line:
Subject: Re: [AboutOrientalStampArt] Suz's Plum gray, navy mingle card arrived???

And here's what it looks like when I click on Reply to Sender:

How do I now send "A bounce probe" to a member who is bouncing? For an individual member, view their membership details via the member list. Go to the bottom of the page and select the ?Send Bounce Probe button. For multiple members, filter the member list by those in a Bouncing state (as described in the Owner's Manual). Select the checkbox next to the 'Display Name' column header to select them all, then select the Send Bounce Probe option from the Actions button at the bottom of the list. ( I assume that one was sent automatically when the member bounced for the first time.)Correct. Regards Andy |

What is the simplest way to get them back to non-bounce status? The only thing you could do is send them another Bounce Probe. You cannot un-bounce their account for them, they must do that themselves and the Member's Manual gives details on that. Regards Andy |

Re: members being removed
It should be pointed out that their email provider has the ability and may be marking emails as spam without the user's knowledge. Users are unsubscribed in that event to protect the anti-spam reputation of GIO. This is noted in the Members Manual here. |

members being removed
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi all, this might be a problem limited to my group but thought I¡¯d check ¨C a couple members got the following email this morning which looks like spam (see below) AND they¡¯ve been unsubscribed. I¡¯ve forwarded it to the help desk as well, but thought I¡¯d check if anyone else is having this problem with their group. Here¡¯s the email they got: You have been unsubscribed from [email protected]. You will receive no more emails from that group. If this was a mistake, you can resume your subscription within the next 7 days by clicking the following link:

The first member to complain about this problem said it had been going on for about a month, so before Mark made the change mentioned on the Beta group. No, what I meant is that Mark made a change now to remove or exclude some of the X- headers from the DKIM signature, maybe that was causing the problem all along but now that he removed/disabled them it may not cause the problem anymore.
