There are no groups.io administrators in this group as far as I know, only other site users.? You should mention this on beta@ so the administrator(s) will see it.

Oh, re-reading, are you saying YOU are at the other end of the invite, and it is NOT getting through? I see. Not sure what's going on, in that case.?

I did a little testing this morning to see if I could find a solution.? If you use the link to your group on the overview page, /, it will always take you to the Topics view since it's a hard-coded link.? If you go to the group home page instead, then click on Messages on the left menu, it will remember which one you had selected.? In this case, having a bookmark to the home page (or the view page while Messages is selected) would get around the problem.? Unfortunately, once you've been to the Topics view, it remembers that as your last choice, so will return to it.

Re: Managing bouncers #membership

Weekly I go to members and scroll through the members list. When I come across a B (bouncer) I click on that person, page down to the bottom and click to send a bouncing probe.?

When I first started there were many blue Bs, today 1 blue and 1 red. I copied the email addy and am sending her an email, since it¡¯s a name I recognize I¡¯ll also ask group members if she¡¯s changed her email. (She was on full digest).

Re: #calendar #hashtag #calendar #hashtags

There's not currently a list of hashtags on the Event entry page.? You can add a hashtag in the Event Name, but would need to know which ones are available, unless you have your group set to allow everyone to create them (Only Moderators Can Create Hashtags is NOT selected on the settings page.)? A quick search of the TODO list, , doesn't show anything similar.? You could suggest having the dropdown available as an addition on beta@.

Re: All Posts Need Approval #issue

ALL new users are moderated in your group, including you. Go into your settings and check the number (1, 2, 3, or 4) in the "new users moderated" setting. That is the number of posts from each member that need to be approved before they are unmoderated.?

Re: All Posts Need Approval #issue

You could try looking in the Activity log for entries of 'Edited group'.? It won't tell you what was changed, but will give you a date and time that might jog your memory.

Re: All Posts Need Approval #issue

Hello Norman,

?

The first thing I would check is to go to Admin, members, then click on the member row for yourself.? Check to see if somehow close to the bottom of the page you are set as OVERRIDE:? Moderated.? If so, then you have to check for not moderated and save.

?

I do not know how that would happen if you are the group owner.

?

IF that is not the case, maybe someone else here can make a suggestion as to what to check.

?

When you initially go to the members listing, if you click on E-mail, it will list all alphabetically which will make it easier to find yourself.

?

The only two checked are RESTRICTED MEMBERSHIP and NEW USERS MODERATED.?

These members have already joined. And none qualify as "NEW USERS"....?

My own posts to the group are being moderated....

Norm, in the members¡¯ list, is there a little blue n beside the names? I believe that mean that these members have not sent an email yet - in .

If your name has an n too - send a greeting to the group yourself. Once one message has been sent from an email address, the ¡°new users moderated¡± rule will be fulfilled for that email address.

Sometimes these things happen. Sometimes, if you change it to a different setting, save it, then change it back again and save it, it'll stick. I don't know if this has ever happened in , but you could try it.

Maybe someone else knows of a different setting that needs to be working together with these settings?

Messages from my test group reach my mailbox after many hours.
I sent a message via mail yesterday, it was shown in the group after a few
minutes, but I received it in my mailbox only a few minutes ago.

My Preferences for that group are set to 'all mails' and my general Groups.io
Account is set to receive a copy of each message I send.
I run my own mail server. It receives messages from groups.io without delays. Your email address' domain is biblit.it . Mail to it is handled by aruba.it webhosting. Ask them why they delay your mail. Most probably it's misguided greylisting. My mailserver greylists only suspicious senders (groups.io isn't among them) and for only 3 minutes, so one retry (usually after 15-40 min) is enough.

But at first go to your control panel and look whether you can whitelist groups.io. The hostname is web01.groups.io , the IP-address is 66.175.222.12 .

Do you pay for this?

It may be the culprit of the delays.

Re: Messages from group hitting mailbox after hours #issue

You could look at the complete header for the email and may be able to figure out where the delay was.? It will have Date: for when it was sent, then each relay along the way should have added a Received: line with the date and time.? Messages from Groups.io are usually sent immediately, so I suspect one of the intermediate steps was delayed for some reason.

Re: [email protected] invalid address #transfer

Just a reminder to check in your yahoo group Member section before?you keep?trying and clicking the invitation button a bunch of times, sometimes Yahoo is showing that error message you quoted, but it has actually sent out the invite to the transfer email addy, and they have joined.? It happened with me that way.? Also, Mark did send out a message asking folks to check because he was being inundated with invitations from Yahoo, sometimes many from the same groups.? Thanks.

Re: [email protected] invalid address #transfer

This is what Mark wrote yesterday in the beta group:

" There's a large backlog of group transfer requests, and I'm trying to work through them. But what's difficult at the moment is that I'm getting a ton of duplicated invites to Yahoo Groups (I have 442 sitting in my mail queue at the moment). Apparently people are getting errors from Yahoo when submitting invite requests, and then submitting invites again, over and over. If you get an error, most likely the invite still went through and you do not need to submit an invite again. "
