getting to the promote group page again?

Hello to all. How if I wanted to can I get to the page where I can tweet about my group again or what not. I am actually drawing a blank here. Can someone please shove me in the right direction? Lol! If I cannot get to this page again I might put a suggestion on the beta section.

Blessings and happy Wednesday

Re: starting a new group

Marina,

Can anybody suggest improvements in group Beta?

Yes. It is the official "suggestion box" for Groups.io

You have to join it to post, but you can use your Subscription advanced preferences to follow only your topic if you want to receive any replies but not read all the rest of the topics there.

Re: Managing bouncers #membership

I didn't notice any of the mangled email addresses. It is true that many of the bouncing addresses appeared to be Yahoo addresses, but as far as I can recall they all had messages such as "no longer has an account" or words to that effect.

At first I thought of a cautious person generating a random string for an email address, but it was not in address form and I did not think our members would have the technical sophistication to do something like that, especially since they did not seem to be aware that their address had changed. The cause was unclear, but I guessed that it might be some errant maintenance on Y! Whatever the reason, it might be related to the number of bouncers on groups io. Maybe not.
Waiting until the go red makes sense to me. Problem sometimes correct themselves. (Not that often!)

Victoria,

Is there a German group version of groups.io available?

No. Nor any other localizations.

That's certainly something to suggest in the beta group:

When moving from Yahoo groups to groups.io, are the files moved as well?

Yes, if Yahoo Groups is working well enough to access them. Same with Photos and other content.

Re: Managing bouncers #membership

Ahah! Hadn't picked that up. Thanks.

Re: starting a new group

Hello Victoria,

?

Go to the groups.io page.? Search for the Beta Group and then subscribe to that group.

?

You will then be able to post messages to the beta group.

I would like to suggest an Italian version of Groups.io. At least, the main parts.
I would be willing to help.

That's what I need. Contact members from the same moderation address.

In (2) I don't think there's a corresponding way for a moderator to
reply to the primary group member and have that come from the moderator
subgroup address. Hm... Maybe that should be a feature request in beta.
Oh, please, do ask in beta.
I like option No.2
It would be so useful to discuss members' problems in the moderators' group and then send a reply from the moderators' group address.

By the way, I noticed in my group homepage an address
[email protected]
Is it something like an alternative owner's address?

Thank you for your patience.

Re: Group members profiles

maggie cooper

Frances I ran through it again today, Logged in, all my groups were listed, there was a header, have attached screen shot, message had changed to photo missing, yesterday it read profile was missing. Today I just ignored it and opened my group's homepage, my profile bio and photo was still there..?

Re: Photo album sorting - revisiting?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I have members have their own album and it is listed alphabetically by their name.
?
In their album you can assign a number to it with the order you want it in. Like 1, 1A etc.
?
It works very well.

Re: Question About Transferring a Large Yahoo Groups List #transfer

I thought about that, Mike, but it has more to do with sustainability - can I do that every year?? DO I want to do that every year?? Something to discuss with my list mods for sure.? It would make the list transfers a lot easier for sure.?

starting a new group

Hello, all,

I?d like to move my yahoo group to groups.io, but I need a German version, because my members are mostly German speaking. Is there a German language version of groups.io?

Thanks for answering.

Victoria

Moving database from one IO group to another

mrfixit82852

I found how to easily move a database from yahoo group to IO group.

But how can I move a database from a IO group to another IO group.

When exporting the yahoo database it was exported as a Xcel? file, but when exporting a IO database it exports as a text file with no columns

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Joe

Re: Deleting Members from Subgroup

Sharon,

If a main group member is deleted, are they automatically (and
reliably) deleted from a subgroup?
Yes.

No, seriously: they all have either a "Join this group" or "apply for membership in this group" button. If yours doesn't have one, it's because you're already in the group and are not seeing it. It probably says "you are a member of this group" instead.
