Re: Is there a way to send an Inquiry type email before accepting new members in Groups.io?
If you are a group owner or perspective owner, you can set up your group as a restricted group and therefore be able to contact the prospective applicant before them being approved to your group. Doug

Re: What action is required by members after the transfer?
Thanks Shal. Yes, I know what the process is (although I haven't needed to use it since the time limit was introduced) and that workaround is pretty obvious to someone who is reasonably clued up. I

Is there a way to send an Inquiry type email before accepting new members in Groups.io?
I was able to do this in Yahoogroups. It was nice to vet someone before we accepted them. I tried searching and couldn't find anything.. Thanks! -- ~mary~ whodatgurl@...

Is there any way to RSVP without logging in? #calendar
I anticipate that many of the people on my list will probably never need to log in to the groups.io site, and many are also technically challenged.? That said, the RSVP feature could be useful since

Re: Great transition
We had issues on our enterprise account with bouncing members. Mark can speak more to what happened there (it was a server issue, not a groups.io issue) so we had to move our server and it's basically

Re: 0 files were transferred
Thanks for the replies. I will download them and upload to the group, which brings up another question. Is it possible to somehow keep the original uploaders name as the person that uploaded the file?

Limits on Photo size but not photo type!
All, I set the size limit in e-mails to a smaller 488x488 maximum, while images in Photos are limited to a larger 1024 x 1024. However I don't see a means of limiting photo type. A Jpeg 488 x 488

Re: Great transition
Marv, Not necessarily. Y!Groups bounce tracking has had problems for several years, and these may be addresses which should have been listed as Bouncing at Y!Groups, but for one reason or another

Marv, I think it has been suggested, but no. And of course, any attempt to track whether email messages are opened would be problematic. Shal

Re: 0 files were transferred
Pamela, Probably the copying software couldn't access any of the group's files. That could be a result of the current rash of outages in Y!Groups - Files in particular is often mentioned as missing.

Re: Identifying inactive members
Bob, Groups.io's blue B ("bouncing") and red B ("bounced") status don't really correspond to the traditional email "soft" and "hard" bounce categories. That is, even a hard bounce starts an address
