For us the mailbox does not exist bounces from gmail have mostly cleared up.? The rest may be legitimate error messages.? Most list members are US based.? The rest are from all over the world.

Seems to me that sending additional emails -- bounce probes or otherwise -- to email accounts that aren't accepting them isn't going to accomplish much. That seems unlikely. See
