Ann,

They are receiving their messages downloaded to their computers and
may see the last one in a whole thread, but not the original one or
any subsequent ones.
Are they receiving messages individually, or in a digest?

I can't think of any whey they could have that result with individual messages, unless their email interface is in something like Gmail's Conversation mode and they don't know it.

If they are receiving individual messages the other "is it plugged in" thing to check would be their Spam/Junk folder, just in case.

I'm the owner of the 070 Club and 070 Club Contest groups.

I have a moderator, Larry Brown, who is unable to use the SUBSCRIPTION>MEMBERS function to search for members by email address.?

When he goes there, the MEMBERS button/pull down menu only shows PENDING APPROVAL for him. When he clicks the MEMBERS button to get the pull down menu, it's just blank.?

He's logged in and out of groups.io, he's rebooted his machine and cleared the cache/cookies in his browser, yet he's still unable to use this basic function.

As the owner, it works fine for me, but surely this is something a moderator can do...

Any ideas of settings that I may have incorrectly set for him, or any other ideas as to what could be wrong?

a member got deleted because it went into her spam. This is not good if this happens. These are older women and not sure they will be able to deal with this.

I really wanted iogroups to work for my group. Not sure it is right for us. Now not sure this member will rejoin.


Missing messages

 

Several of my group members are telling me that they are not getting all of the messages.? They are receiving their messages downloaded to their computers and may see the last one in a whole thread, but not the original one or any subsequent ones.? Is anyone else having this problem or is there something they need to check on their settings?? It just started happening in the last day or two.? Before that they were getting all the messages.?

Although I understand the concern expressed, our group would be very much opposed to changing the date format unless it were optional at either the group or individual level (or both). ?We are a US-based group of artists and such a change (if imposed unilaterally) would be very confusing for our members.?

How do I set my mail coming in to traditional.
There is no such setting in Groups.io.

The closest thing to that is to choose between "Full Featured" and "Plain" in the digest, but there's no equivalent for individual messages.

Toby, that's very odd. I went to that link and there's a place to
"sign in to groups.io" (not "sign into zendesk") - it looks like it's
asking for my groups.io account.
No, I think the confusion there is that it is asking you to sign in to the groups.io support area (at zendesk). A little bit as if on Y! or Groups.io you were being asked to sign in to a group name rather than the service as a whole.

I don't use Zendesk, so I don't know their setup. Possibly you need a separate sign-in for each support area?

Getting email from my members and the font and font sizes are coming

No.

If the messages are sent as plain text then the font size is controlled by your email viewer.

If the messages are sent with formatting (HTML) then the font size is controlled by the sender. Unless you use the group setting for "Plain Text Only" - that will strip the sender's formatting.

In either case, if you are looking at the messages through a web browser you likely can use its "zoom" tool to change the size of all text on the page. The controls for this vary by browser, but I think most use Ctrl plus the keypad + - and 0 keys as shortcuts.

Hallo Anita,

To set the default Message Formatting for your Group.
Click on Admin
Click on Settings will take you to the Settings screen
Scroll down (about half way) to? a heading Message Formatting
Scroll a bit further down and choose from :
  • Force HTML Emails
  • Normalize HTML Emails
  • Plain Text Only?
?
My start would be to choose the middle one by clicking in the box.

Yes, it's there. Thanks. I had no idea that any of this existed. And the UI really needs fixing....the "log into " and saying I'm "new to " when I've been a member of and am already logged in, etc.

Also, the bug I recently sent to support is not showing up, as I suspected. I'll email Mark again.

The pull down menu under your name should have My Activities option which takes you to a page of requests.
On mobile, there's a big button that says "My requests"
Mark ought to have a help topic on viewing your support tickets.
