Re: European Date Format & 24hr Clock
#calendar
Tim J
As Yahoo Groups crumble in front of our eyes - two groups I belong to are having to dump and run as ever increasing parts of it stop working - there will be more and more UK & Europe people flocking to Groups.io.
I'm sure we don't mind what date and time formats are used - EXCEPT MMDDYY.? It has never made any sense to me and lots of others. My vote and request (pretty please) is to try and change this sooner rather than later.? Could it be linked to the time zone of the user in any way, so nobody has to learn anything new? Even better would be the adoption of the "whole world" standard YYYYMMDD (and HHMM on a 24 hour clock) - very sensible as you can sort on that field then, and it appears in strict date order. Thanks. |
Re: attaschments
Anita,
My members like to send graphics so wanted to see how I can deleteFor emailed images, as opposed to other types of file attachments, you can see and delete them in the "Emailed Photos" album of your group's Photos section. But individually, not as a list with checkboxes. Not long ago I went to iogroups here and saw a list of attachments andSeems like a feature that ought to exist. At the very least, the Filter on messages ought to have "has attachments" as one of the options. Shal |
Re: attaschments
Thanks.? Not long ago I went to iogroups here and saw a list of attachments and then I could delete them by checking the boxes. I dont see this any more. No it was not yahoo.
My members like to send graphics so wanted to see how I? can delete them after everyone has seen them. Thanks Anita |

Anita, > I cant seem to find how to delete attachments? If you edit the message you can delete the attachments. > There use to be a list some where and you can click the box and say > delete? I think you're thinking of Yahoo Groups. > Also if my memory gets close to the limit I did check the box to > delete attachments is that right and will you do that? It's right if that's what you want Groups.io to do. The other choice, rejecting messages with attachments, isn't very attractive but it does leave you with explicit control of what to delete, if anything, to make room for new content. Shal |
Does Groups IO and CenturyLink
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýDoes Groups IO have any problems with email accounts from CenturyLink? I¡¯ve been with Yahoogroups for many years. Some of those groups have migrated to GroupsIO. I¡¯ve noticed that I¡¯m having a lot of problems sending emails to Yahoogroups and I have an email through CenturyLink. I¡¯m wondering if GroupsIO experiences similar problems? (This email is, in a way, a test of that.) ? ? Rod ? -- Rod |
attaschments
I am back at iogroups as of tomorrow. I am hoping this will go well. I cant seem to find how to delete attachments? There use to be a list some where and you can click the box and say delete?
Also if my memory gets close to the limit I did check the box to delete attachments is that right and will you do that? Thanks for any help. I just cant find attachments and how to delete them. Anita? |
Re: anybody not getting cc'd back on their messages to support?

Hmmm. Not sure what to think. I guess I'll just wait and see if he responds. Problem is that this is something i've emailed him about several times in the past and not heard back, and I don't wait to be a pest (as if it's not too late for that lol;) On Sun, Jan 14, 2018 at 10:49 AM, Duane <txpigeon@...> wrote: On Sun, Jan 14, 2018 at 10:41 am, Bob Bellizzi wrote: |

I've tested it, and yes, it's all fixed.
But one thing which has emerged from testing this is that changing the date/time of an event, so it occurs again (the following day/whenever), will not cause a second #cal-notice message to be sent at the revised time, although additional #cal-reminder messages are generated. Will feed this back to support... |
anybody not getting cc'd back on their messages to support?
J_Catlady
I sent a message about a possible bug to the support address tonight, and for the first time ever, I did not get the usual cc back to me, with the "your ticket" thing. Wondering if there's a bug, and more importantly, whether Mark will receive the message or should I resend. Has anyone else experienced this? J |
Groups.io site updates
#changelog
Hi all,
This change log for this week: Feel free to reply to this topic if you'd like to comment on the changes. Or better yet, if you expect a lot of discussion start a new topic (or rejoin an existing one) about a specific change. * Groups now have a default timezone, for new members. This was added to the "Default Sub Settings" tab of the group's Settings page. It allows groups to set a timezone that applies to members who subsequently join, but it does nothing for those who've already joined and were given a system default timezone (e.g. US Pacific). Note that this only affects users who did not already have an account when they joined the group. A user who has already logged in at least once or who has previously joined this or another group is presumed to have set a timezone of their choice. Comments about these others are also welcome: SYSADMIN: Added a second load balancer for redundancy. Please call out any you find significant. Shal |
