Direct adding names as well as emails

I will be direct adding new members by uploading a file. ?If I have a spread sheet with Fname, Lname, Email, can I add the names as well as the emails? ?
I know that I might be subjected to delays while Groups.io checks the list for spam. That should not be an issue; I cleaned the list before adding. |

New to Groups.io? Just setting up your group?
#howtoguide
#settings
There is a help page in the GMF wiki that walks you through the settings, including privacy, spam control, message policies, message formatting and features. Also Default Subscription settings, cover photo and group icon, and member notices.

Re: Converting PDF to RTF (was: Uploading files to Groups.io)
Nobody trusts Google with their data in our group circle.? When we moved from Yahoo, many spoke up to avoid anything Google based.? Thus, GroupsIO was the lead solution to migrate into.? Google is known for it's data privacy compromises, both willingly and unwillingly. It's been documented too many times to count by CNET and other tech news sites.? Sorry, Google is not a viable option for us.

I do like Force HTML because I think the footers work well.

Hi Frances - thanks - looks like you've nailed it. I changed the preferences for the group to force HTML emails and I am now getting the footer I expected (critical for my application as I want to make it easy for people to reply to the sender rather than the whole group if they want to).
Is there any downside to forcing HTML emails? Thanks, Richard |
Re: Stop Reply All sending to Sender AND Group?
Sorry - let's try again - maybe it doesn't like the urls. The footer is either like this:
Or basically the same but with the urls fully expanded and looking horrible (same email client, same email account, same thread). And then once I got this (which is what I thought it should be): View/Reply Online (#20) | Reply To Group | Reply To Sender | Mute This Topic | New Topic
?
Your Subscription | Contact Group Owner | Unsubscribe [email address]

Is there a way for Admins to get notification when a member is in bounce status? I just came across the list while clicking around, and have a couple members who haven't been receiving our messages for a month or more. You can find the info in Admin, Members. Pull down Members button - but that info isn¡¯t pushed to owners.? The member can see in their subscription and they get an email as well as a banner notice on the group home page. It is mostly the member that needs to take action - click on a link in the email. They can also see all their bouncing in the top right Account (their name), in Recent Bounces).
