I think the problem is that it does see the difference and both have accounts.? Joe.smith@ gmail.com and joesmith@ gmail.com are totally different people as far as GIO is concerned, every character

Correct term for Thunderbird and similar programs is MUA (mail user agent). The term MTA is for programs (such as Exim, Postfix, sendmail) transmitting emails from server to server.

I guess most Yahoo users haven't heard about the impending closure. Since there were at least ten million groups at Yahoo, of which Mark has said about 3000 moved here recently, that leaves 9,997,000
