Did all messages migrate from Yahoo?

Hello all,
Newbie here.? Just transferred my group from Yahoo.? Thanks Mark and everyone involved for all your hard work at this stressful time!? So, as Mark is swamped at the mo, he advised me to put my question/s to you kind folks.? I didn't find anything on help or wiki.?? Following the transfer, Mark advised that he had trouble migrating the links due to a yahoo glitch, and I'm having to do those manually.? I went to the group's new home here to see if the messages had all transferred (if the number of messages were about the same), and discovered that the number of my last (most recent) post/message in the new/io group is , whereas, in the old (yahoo) group it is labeled #8537. I might expect a small discrepancy, if I had to delete a message or two (in yahoo group) due to human error here and? _______ |
Re: download entire directory
Hi all, It's a good idea to say FROM WHERE?? are you talking about trying to download "an entire directory of files" from yahoo group?? from groups.io group?? We all tend to assume everyone knows exactly what we're wondering about, but it helps to say it!? thanks, Gesine |
Re: new member questionaire
I assume you have ?Allow Attachments ticked in Admin, Settings, Message Formatting. There is also a query about stripping out HTML messages.

Hmmm... I lied. I just tried this and the drafts remain, or at least didn't go away immediately. Oddly, when I click on View/Reply Online, it doesn't create a draft. I am using Mac OS 10.15.1 |

Re: Transfer phpBB Forum to Groups.io?
Mike, maybe this is simplistic, but does PHPBB have the following two attributes? --Can accept postings via email --Can accept email subscriptions If so, what happens if you subscribe each to the other's group? I see two drawbacks: --People who subscribe to both would see duplicate posts --What about the infinite loop case? A new post to one is forwarded to the other, back to the first, back to the second, back to the first..ad infinitum. Probably not a good idea. Larry |

Re: Bug? Spontaneous Drafts???
1) Why would the button be labeled View/Reply if it is only intended for replying? Why not two separate functions? Other websites dont automaitically create draft messages. It is clearly an undesirable and wasteful programming error.

2) It is many times easier to read a thread online rather than sift through several mail digests. Especially when the thread is old and long. 3) Your last sentence is exactly what I am talking about. Your logic is circular. I am getting dizzy... On Thu, Dec 5, 2019 at 11:36 AM, Gerald Boutin wrote: On Thu, Dec 5, 2019 at 02:59 AM, RFI-EMI-GUY wrote: |

Thomas, On the day that GMX blocked the messages and notified Groups.io, you should have received an email from Groups.io. It would have explained that they had received a "suspected SPAM" message from GMX and would cease mailing to you. There was a link in that message for restarting message delivery. You may not hare realized that you needed to click the link. Larry |
