Re: Deleting applications to join
When you have a member pending approval, your choices are: Approve, Reject, Claim, Send Message, or Ban

If you select Ban, then the person is added to your list of Banned people, removed from your list of Pending Approvals, and they do not receive any message. Gilbert On Nov 6, 2019, at 7:39 PM, Susan B <doggiesmail@...> wrote: |
Re: Personalgroupware (PG Offline)
What do? you want to do with the messages? Move them to GIO? On Wed, Nov 6, 2019 at 10:34 PM Dennis Steckley <palrefrev@...> wrote: One of my groups has over 200,000 messages.? So PG Offline doesn't sound like a very practical choice unless I'm missing something. |
Deleting applications to join
We are finding people who were permanently banned from our Yahoo list are now applying to join the groups.io list. They know they were banned. Is it possible to delete their pending request without notifying them?
This would make it appear that the ban was carried over. Which is better than getting messages arguing for reinstatement. Susan B |
Re: Files in transfer are assigned to what members?

Linda,
It isn't clear from your posts as to what is on Yahoo. It could be that there are actually 150 messages that contained eml files within them and another transfer would just do the same thing. eml files are a format for saving emails to files. You can view eml files with a text editor to see the text in the email. Your description of emails within messages is a legitimate way to send an email within another email message. -- Gerald |

Re: Current Delay Between Invitation and Transfer Joining ?
Hi Marc, Based on step #3, as follows: 3. Send an invite from your Yahoo Group to [email protected] You just need to invite this [email protected] email address from your groups in Yahoogroups. And please wait around 3 days (for my case that happened previously). When you read another different message, as follows: We've received the invite to your groups and will accept it soon. There is no need to send another invite. They received your invitation. Next steps, need to wait another message, as follows: We have accepted the invite to your group. (with other long message....) When you read the above message, you need to change [email protected] email address to become member of moderator inside your groups. You can remove all moderator privileges. After that, just waiting the transfer process to be started. Budhi ? -----Original Message-----

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýGerald it would be bad for our group but may not be for yours. We solved the problem by discovering the person was already a member under a different address and telling her she didn¡¯t need to join under the new address.? Re: Help! Never heard back after sending invitation email.
Same here, just need to be patient. For my case, need to wait around 3 days before it shows different message, as follows: We've received the invite to your groups and will accept it soon. There is no need to send another invite. ? When we read this message, we know, we have some progress. Now already in stage 3 of 4, looks like will be the longest stage. We'll see. ? The system allows me to send and receive on that second email since it was already considered a 'member' on the old list, without having an account. So I guess except for web access, I can do that. Then just turn my main one to 'no email' for that list.Dave, If I understand what you are saying correctly, then you do already have another account for the second address. It just so happens you probably haven't logged in through it yet. You can do anything that this account is configured for, just as you can with the other account. ? -- Gerald |

can we please add this feature to the development queue? It's been suggested before, but probably won't be implemented.? Your best bet is to store the attachment elsewhere (files, photos, etc.), then edit the message to include a link to it. A tip:? When you select the Admin menu on the left, then Members, it will take you to the Pending page automatically, if there are any.
