Dave,

If I understand what you are saying correctly, then you do already have another account for the second address. It just so happens you probably haven't logged in through it yet. You can do anything that this account is configured for, just as you can with the other account.

Okay - so when the person using groups.io@...?posts a message in our group, does that show up on the message or on the email if they post via email??
?
If they have a display name, would that show up on a message board post and on an email instead? I am not happy about having someone using this site¡¯s domain as their personal name (). I think it will cause mass confusion among our members.

It can't be all that bad. I use groupsio here for my email address and no one has ever complained yet to me.

As has been mentioned numerous times here, this is a user-to-user group.? No one from GIO management monitors it.

It's been suggested before, but probably won't be implemented.? Your best bet is to store the attachment elsewhere (files, photos, etc.), then edit the message to include a link to it.

For suggestions, you have to post them on the beta group, but Mark has asked us to wait until at least mid-December before making any more.

Your attachments showed 2 different pages, Pending Approval and Members.? (There are 2 pending.)? You can tell which page you're looking at by the blue button just to the right of the word Subscription.? The page you're looking at is shown, but if you click on it, you can choose other views.? A tip:? When you select the Admin menu on the left, then Members, it will take you to the Pending page automatically, if there are any.

Well the keywords show in the directory of publicly listed groups, but not on their homepage.

This is the description in the directory:

Are you saying it is UNDER the photo or ?

Re: Growing a group #promotion

I am the mod of future_tech. I recruited my initial members from friends and a post in the-tech-zone (which allows post advertising related groups). I also made a few posts in related communities on Google+. I'll probably spend some more time later looking for related communities in which a link to the group would not be seen as spam. Does anyone else have any thoughts on how I can grow the community?
Have you looked at the Promote page in Admin?

Just like it is on a lot of web sites, white letters on a white background (or black on black, green on green, etc.)? When you use your mouse to highlight the page, the hidden stuff pops out.

Gina -- If you had used the Easy Group Transfer mechanism, they would note be "pending." But I understand why this might not work for you...for any number of reasons.

I've read ALL the help.

How do I approve them?? (Not one by one, I hope; there's almost 1000!)

Go to Admin>Members. If necessary (and it probably won't be), pull down the blue menu at upper left and select "Pending Approval."

Click the box to the left of the "Display Name" table heading to select everyone on the page. Scroll down to the "Actions" menu and select "Approve."

Repeat for each screen-full of pending subscriptions. If you want to increase the number per page, go to?/account?page=prefs?and change "Items Per Page" to 100.

Hope this helps,
Bruce
