Re: Pricing for transfering YahooGroups to groups.io
Hi Rubens,
How much does it cost for a premium group?
The cost is $220 USD per year for the Premium Yearly plan (effective 2019-10-22). This allows you to use the groups.io transfer agent. You can change the group back to the Basic plan after the year if you wish.
?
Can I transfer a Yahoo Group into a Subgroup?
Yes. Upgrading your Primary Group to the Premium Yearly plan covers your subgroups as well. No extra fee to transfer YG into subgroups.?
?
Can I transfer more than one Yahoo Group into one Groups.io group?
Yes. The Premium Yearly plan allows multiple Yahoo Groups to be transferred to your Primary group and/or its subgroups. Be sure to transfer one at a time to avoid problems.
?
If you transfer more than one Yahoo Group into the same Primary or Subgroup the additional content appends to what's already been transferred. Any members already present in the Groups.io group will not be transferred again by later transfers.

No problems on my Samsung Galaxy J7 Android phone. My only problem is Yahoogroups delayed messages for first time inany months, this as a moderator of groups that I don't own. D. Re: Emails response from groups.io not working
Hi Frances,
Messages fall under that person's membership if they have sent a message to your owners address. So you will have to go to your members list, find a member and click on +owner messages I hope this helps. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, Substitute the group name 9and subdomain if using subgroups) with your group name. From that page, click Search, and search for the content you are looking for. Cheers, joseph ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Scott H. ? Here is a stupid question. How do I find my topics or topics I have commented on in the GroupManagersForum? Is there a filter or link for my messages? I hope I can locate the responses. Thanks. |
Re: Help with transfer - HELP!!!!!!!!
Pardon my stupid question. You can add a moderator but not change a account to moderator? That sounds strage to me. Isidro ? Am 30.10.2019 um 02:34 schrieb Kevin Wenker:

Re: Managers Forum - My Topic
Scott, if you are in the Directory - you don't have to be - you can find your name and click on it. It says All Messages from this member.
And an even easier way since you have posted recently - find your name at the bottom of ?your message in the Message archive. Click on it. Frances -- FAQ on Moving from YahooGroups GMF Wiki: (unofficial) Help for members (and would-be members) and group managers |
Re: Troubles making "[email protected]" a GIO moderator
Steve Bass
Bruce,
I feel like a dunce and I'm afraid I may do some harm. I read through your Bruce's Detailed Instructions, but still stuggling. Yesterday, the transfer process was halted until I upgraded to premium, which I did. The problem: I started with $20 premium monthly and charged $20 on 10/27. I upgraded to Premium yearly today, but today's upgrade to yearly wasn't charged. As you advised, I restarted the transfer process by clicking the Set Up a New Transfer and added the YG name and GIO name from the pull down. Clicking "Give Go Ahead to Transfer" green button only refreshes the page. 1. YG has a [email protected] member with moderator rights. 2. The pink area on Yahoo Group Transfer Setup says, "We have accepted the invite to your group. If you have not already, make [email protected] a moderator of your group. Once you have done that, tell us when you are ready to transfer your group." 3. I again tried "Set Up A New Transfer" and this time the pink box said, "Set up and start the transfer process below. To transfer a group, your Groups.io group must be upgraded to the Premium Yearly option." The Plans and Pricing page set me on the static pricing page that asks me to start a group. Any guidance is very much appreciated Thanks, --Steve On Tuesday 10/29/2019, [Bruce Bowman] said: ________________________________ On Tue, Oct 29, 2019 at 07:21 PM, Steve Bass wrote:
Please note that, at some point, you must also promote the transfer agent to be a Moderator of your Yahoo group. If you are not the Owner of the Yahoo group, you probably won't be able to do this. Find someone who can.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýGot it. But in this Yahoo group only the Owner has all those privileges. I can add and remove but not change. Thanks for clarifying. ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Duane ? On Tue, Oct 29, 2019 at 06:56 PM, Kevin Wenker wrote:
No, it requires at least a moderator with the "Add, remove, and change moderator privileges" permission to do it. |
Re: Emails response from groups.io not working
Emails to the +owner go to your own email account, not to the group.
Honestly I forget where you can see them on the group. But not in the message archive. Check your email trash, etc. Help email, I am quite sure, just sends you some emailed help info. Again, it is not a post. Frances -- FAQ on Moving from YahooGroups GMF Wiki: (unofficial) Help for members (and would-be members) and group managers |

Re: Acceptance time frame for [email protected] account

I hit Step 3 24 hours ago. I missed Step 2 completely.
?
I¡¯ve randomly refreshed since then and have gone up and down. Was really excited about the 811 after work today! But now I¡¯m going up again:
?
801 24 hrs ago when I first hit Step 3
815
834 this morning
835
834
811 5:30pm
848
856 ?now, so I¡¯ve lost 50 places in a day.
?
Do the people expediting change this process or does that happen on Step 4?

Francis, you're saying to make the transfer email a member but Yahoo doesn't allow an owner to make someone a member of my group. The new person has to sign up on their own.? The instructions I read said the transfer agent would send me an email, but I didn't get an email back and it's been 2 or 3 hours since I sent it. After a couple hours, I sent a 2nd invite. What should I do next? |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSometimes email systems do strange things to prevent spam. I you are able to, use an other email address at all. Tracking down such problems is time consuming, a other email address much more simple. If you are in need to use this address then send from the group to an other address, make a forwarding to this address and put this address as an alias in your goup.io account so that? the system will recognise you when you answer via email from this address. sounds complicated, but is simple. :-) Isidro

I received a ¡°Transfer Complete¡± message two days but now, it appears that only 1,398 of 4,700 messages were transferred from Adcraftowners at Yahoo.? This was not mentioned in the notification. What can we do to get the rest? Gene (Owner) |
