Re: Detailed Instructions on How to Conduct a Yahoo Transfer
I am stuck at your Step 16.? I am one of two owners of our new Groups.io presence.? The other owner is the one who paid the $110 fee. After receiving Groups¡¯ acceptance of our invitation (Step 14), and promoting [email protected] to Moderator (Step 15), I went to the Step 4 listed transfer page but the ¡°Existing Transfers¡± dropdown is blank, even clicking to actually open it up.? Nothing shows where I expected to see my group¡¯s name.? Consequently, I can¡¯t proceed with Step 16.? Is this another waiting point ?in the process? I have even tried other browsers, first Chrome, then Firefox, and even Safari.? No joy in either case. Any ideas? On Tue, Oct 22, 2019 at 12:01 PM Bruce Bowman <bruce.bowman@...> wrote:

Re: Dual email addresses
Members can have an alias to send emails from. There is no email received at the other secondary address.
See this page about creating an alias and about merging accounts. Re: Dual email addresses
--I'm not too tech savvy, but my tried and true solution to get my YG posts sent to two different email addresses was to set up an automatic forward in my email. I set up an automatic forward? that applied to all YG messages received in my YG email address. You just have to be careful to only reply or post from the primary email account (or webpage), or else they will be returned as undeliverable. Deborah -- Deborah |

So will it be a fixed offset, i.e. Y!G??? GIO 300??? 125 325??? 150 etc? If so, we could put that offset in the header page or similar. Second question: Could we specify a starting offset greater than the max Y!G #; that would avoid any confusion: Y!G??? GIO 300??? 10125 325??? 10150 |

I think this is still automatically sent out when your invitation reaches Groups.io.? You can also check your transfer page as described in other posts to see what the status is.? As has been mentioned, sending more than one invitation can also slow down the process. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe most reputable way, for my opinion to check if a IP Address is compromised is the senderbase system that cisco has formed some years ago. This system dosn't check the emails itself, instead it collects traficdata from a huge lot of cisco switches. Here you can see the good reputation of the emailserver that belongs to groups.io as far as I know. Also spamhaus.org is a good place to check. This is a service
based in germany. They use honeypot technlogy and real
emailservers to build up their database. That works very reliable. All the Best, Isidro

Re: Trying to add [email protected] membership for a migration yahoo to groups.io...
I'm also waiting for the [email protected]?invitation to be accepted into my Yahoo Group. I created the group on groups.io, then sent the invite from the yahoo group (twice now) and the transfer email has not joined my group yet.
I understand that they might be busy but some kind of response would be nice...? |

Thanks Bruce.
Apparently I should maybe also expect delay due to ?heavier than usual work load at groups.io Due to the rush of rats leaving the sinking Yahoo ship. ? -- {This message was sent with 100% recycled electrons} |
