Yes, you are right... The infinite scroll option showed only 20 sent invitations per page whereas 100 per page option worked correctly...
Thanks a lot?...You saved my day...

You can go to your account, at the upper right, then go to the Preferences page.? Near the bottom, you can select how many items per page are shown - 20, 50, 100, or infinite scroll.? The only limitation is that infinite scroll doesn't necessarily work on all types of pages such as databases.? I've found that 50 per page is my choice.

For any suggestion, such as this, it would need to be posted on the beta group (the official suggestion box for the site) to be considered.? No one from Groups.io management monitors this group.

Re: invite then pending subscription

Wow... You have asked exactly the same question what I thought of asking...

Mine is a larger group with a size of around 900 members. Think of the pain in doing this process for all those invites which are sent but 100s of users request to subscribe via online... Definitely, the best way to handle would be to automatically approve the request...

Contrarily, if the user requests via a new email id and wants to remove the invite sent to old email id, I go to the send invitations page which loads around 20 invites per page and then I have to scroll 10 to 15 times in order to find and remove the invites that are already sent. There should be a search option here to select the invite.

Deleting the Primary Group

Can I delete the Primary group or replace it with one of the Subgroups?

I have a small Group set up for members of a model railroad club.? The club members use one of the Subgroups to communicate between ourselves.? I set up the primary Group to be used for non-members to communicate with the club but I am finding that the primary group is not being used very often.? Non members find us through our website or through Facebook.? The Primary Group seems to cause a lot of confusion for our members who sometimes post to the Primary instead of the Subgroup.?

I would just as soon delete the Primary Group and set the Subgroup up as the Primary. If someone could tell me how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: suddenly many yahoo.com members are bouncing, but not all of them

Brent,

?
This morning, I have 8 of 20 bouncing yahoo addresses. I found this:
?
DMARC is not the cause of those members bouncing. Refer to the Email Delivery History tab in their Members page to learn what Yahoo had to say about rejecting messages to them.

?
Now puzzling what to do about it.

What needs to be done is already being done.

invite then pending subscription

Hi - new group owner here, be gentle ..
Use case:
I invite someone to join the group?
A day or two later I look at pending invites and see they have not accepted
The invited user doesn't use the invite, but requests to subscribe via email or on-line form
I get a notice that there is a new subscriber that needs approval.
Now I need to see if it someone that should be in the group and approve them, then go to the invites pending and remove the invite.

Wouldn't it be better if when someone applies for membership without using an invite, and there is a pending invite for that same person, the request be handled the same way it is for a invite acceptance?
i.e - the request is automatically approved and the invite is changed from pending to accepted.

Never mind my question about your issue. I am assuming it is what you pointed out in the beta group. I think that is probably something that Mark just missed.

Jeremy,

Could you explain what you are referring to as a complete fix?

Re: Feed is not what I want as my default view of My Groups

Don,

What is the feed page?

Click on the Groups.io logo while logged in to the site. If that doesn't bring you to Your Feed, click the Feed button in the left column.

It is a list of summaries, one summary per group (your subscriptions), with the groups sorted in order of most recent activity first.

As of this morning when I logged in I get the Feed as my default view of my groups.? I do not? like this view and want to know how I can get the view that MY Groups will give me which is how things used to work.

Re: Send Invite To Group (tagged with #cal-invite) needs to default to unchecked

Mark has reverted the change!? ? I think maybe the most recent complaint made it clear that it would be better this way.

Calendar Default Option #cal-notice

Hi,,

I see there was a recent change - CHANGE: When adding/editing an event, check by default the 'Send Invite To Group' option.

Is there anyway to turn off this default at a group level?? I have inadvertently sent out two notices that were not ready to go out, which is now confusing my group.

Thanks

Re: An email I got from a groups.io owner

Termi,

However I have had a couple of people tell me that IO is closing groups
and not even notifying the group owner that they are doing it.

Maybe , or a adult content groups. Neither of which is allowed, and both of which ought to be obvious to the group owner why it was closed.

The group owner could contact [email protected] to find out what happened, if it isn't obvious. A group owner ought to at least skim the Terms of Service, even if the members don't bother.

Re: Can linked attachments have their original names?

Looks like a bug to me. It's because Groups.io has put those numbers in place
of the file name on the end of the URL. I suggest reporting it to
[email protected]

Hello

Our group just received its first e-mail with attachments, and the
attachments are linked to at the bottom of the e-mail, like thus:

> Infographic - Copyright Amendment Bill March 2019 (5)_10.pdf:

> NOVUS_Mail__Guardian_2019-03-15_NTEzMjA3NTca_1376.pdf:
/g/zalang/attachment/64461/2

When I click a link, my browser prompts me to save the file with the
name "0", "1" or "2", instead of the attachments' actual names. This is
a bit annoying for me personally, but I can imagine it must be
frustrating for non-geek users who don't know about file extensions,
since file "0" etc. won't show up as a PDF file on their Desktop.

What can be done about this, and/or what causes it?

I use Thunderbird and Opera. Copy/pasting the link in the browser
doesn't change this behaviour.

When I visit the actual message, then I can download the attachments
using their actual names by clicking on the attachment icons, so that's
one workaround, I suppose.

Thanks
Samuel
