Maybe change all Y!group /No Email/ to Special NoticesSo far as I know you have to do them one by one. But if your Groups.io group is going to be set to Disallow No Email then you needn't do this, unless it is to ensure that they receive the "we're moving" announcement in the Y!Group. What I did instead was export the Y!Group members list as CSV (these were groups of fewer than 1000 members) and open that in Excel. This let me sort the list by the Delivery column. Then in the "Email" column I selected all the addresses belonging no No Email members and copied them. I then pasted that list of addresses into a BCC on a message I sent to them off-list (with my Gmail account). Because each group had only a few dozen No Email members that wasn't disallowed by Gmail. If you have hundreds that might be a different story. As a footnote: I had previously removed the Bouncing addresses from the list in excel. Nevertheless several of the "No Email" addresses bounced when I sent to them by Gmail. I suspect that Y!Groups detection of bad addresses is less than fully reliable. For a different reason I set all No Email members to Moderated in the Y!Group. That I did have to do one by one via the Manage Members list, but having them sorted out in Excel made that easier. Good Afternoon is there any way to empty the storage of old messages ?As Ilene said, you can delete them one topic at a time. Or one message at a time if you switch the list to Message view. There is also a "batch mode" in testing. If you append "-test" to the address when you're looking at the message list in Topics view then you will see checkboxes to the left of each topic. Like this, but use your own group name, not GroupManagersForum (you must be a moderator or owner of the group to see it): /g/GroupManagersForum/topics-test You can then use the red Delete button at the top of the page to delete all the topics you've selected. This allows you to delete a page full of topics at once. CAUTION: there is no undo, no backup, nor other protection if you make a mistake or later regret it. That's in part why this "bulk" feature is still only in testing and not otherwise available. If you could tell us why you want to remove them we may be able to suggest an alternative that would suit. For example, if the concern is over storage space you needn't worry: message content isn't counted against your group's quota. They should be set to Special.? That's what happens if you change to disallowing "No Email" on an existing group.

If you want to delete all messages, this may be a special situation where [email protected] would be willing to help.? No guarantees, but it can't hurt to ask.? If you're just wanting to get rid of some older, possibly non-useful posts, you'll need to do it one-by-one.

It is default for people who sign up at Groups.io web site on their own, which you likely did before starting your group. Are ordinary subscribers also sent updates?I'm not quite sure what you mean, but the Updates group very rarely sends any messages to its members. Mark's weekly site update messages are posted there, but not sent out as email. However, all messages posted there are tagged with a #changelog hashtag to keep them from being sent out as emails. In that sense, no one is ever "sent an update"...subscribers?must proactively go to the updates group and read them from the message archive. Another place to verify the setting is on the group's home page: I'm not sure, but you may need to manually refresh the browser page after changing the setting to see the change appear. As suggested, I went next to the "to" address and clicked the little "Show Details" arrow. The?Reply-To?field goes to the group. That definitively points the finger at the group's setting. It seems groups.io is not setting the field correctly. Does anyone else have their groups.io group set to "Reply to Sender" and it works as intended? I set my test group to Sender: And sent a message: As you can see, no reply-to field, which means it worked as intended. So either there's some kind of glitch with your group at Groups.io, or I suppose the "is it plugged in?" question would be: are you sure you're adjusting the setting of the correct group? For example, if your group has subgroups each subgroup has its own settings page.
