I see you solved your problem but since you were concerned about being found by potential members, perhaps you could beef up your group description with good keywords if it is listed in the directory

Duane is correct, you need to disable public archives. Concern about the RSS feed doesn't make a lot of sense when anyone with a browser can read your group's messages. Go to

Iframes, PHP/java scripts and similar constructs can be used by spammers as a vector to spread malware. On that basis they are stripped from groups.io messages. Your best bet is to just provide a
