I have the premium account (with the "direct add" option clearly in view).? The "direct add" dialogue form, however, is clearly designed to send out the invitation (I see no option for overriding this?).? Everything is pre-configured for the invitation to go out (any way to override? ... am I missing something here??).
?
Please advise.? I appreciate your help (it would be much more convenient for my clients if they didn't have to go thru the invitation process).

Thanks Again,

Deb,
But there are a few group members who need to be anonymous but stillWhat is it they need to see that they don't want to show? A profile can be effectively anonymous - containing only the member's Display Name. In particular the member's email address is not available through their profile. So I'm not sure what the concern is. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |

Obviously (?) it may be a function of what your group's "business" is, but I cannot see why they should have the right to be "anonymous" while being able to view those who agree to make their profile public. Furthermore, if you have members who "need" to be anonymous, then that would apply to others with the same "need". Why should someone with a hidden profile be able to view the details of someone else with a hidden profile? You could, of course, make them all moderators who have sight of all profiles, hidden or otherwise. Perhaps clarification of the word "need" might help. Chris |

Bruce, thanks. I do realize that subscribers can choose their display name and make their profile private. The problem is that, if a subscriber makes their own profile unavailable to other group members, then they themselves are also blocked from seeing anyone else's profile. Which is a problem for our group. Most group members will want their profiles to be viewable. But there are a few group members who need to be anonymous but still need to be able to view the profiles of everyone else.

I just transferred another group. It took almost exactly a week, but none of the files came over.

Scott,
I'm cc'ing this to support because the link is defective - includes a misplaced period. received message that my group was downgraded ? ? ?- Why ?
I just received the below message for a new group that I transferred over? and my intent was to pay $10 per month which
I did for the first month.? ?Now I received this message when I thought I would be billed or invoiced on a monthly basis for the $10fee per month.? ?I needed the extra storage space and I fear they whacked my files and photos to the reduced minimum allocation space.? ? In anycase the provided upgrade link does not work and all I get is an error message. I would like some clarity on how the monthly fees are to be paid and I would like to have all my files, messages and photos back. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWell, in my group, there is occasionally a compelling reason for anonymity. The group members all know this and don¡¯t mind if there are a few anonymous members, as long as the group owner (me) knows who they are and has approved their membership. In any case, I will just disable the directory feature for now. This certainly bewildered me when I first came across this behavior and I see many more bringing it up here. I feel I should not have to make my profile public just to view a public profile. Bouncing Messages and GoDaddy?

Question about storage size and starting transfer
Earlier today I received the request to make [email protected] a moderator for my group and to start the transfer.? Just recently I received an other email saying my group had too many files and photos.? One solution was to change max size to 1024x1024 pixels, but when I went to do that, I saw I already had that selected.
Is it common to need to confirm that choice?? Have any of you had this happen, too?? Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks in advance for your help. Carol B. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSteve, you can pay for your group to have the direct functionality. That would be skipping the whole invite process and the approval process.Sent?from my iPhone On Jun 12, 2018, at 7:52 PM, Steven Stine <sstine0510@...> wrote:

On a free group, it's either an invitation, by email to the group subscribe address, or they apply online.? If you upgrade to a Premium group, you can direct add them and they also won't need to complete the email confirmation step.

Can Member be Added Without Sending the Invitation?
#addmembers
I have clients.? They've given verbal approval to participate in a group (it's better for them if they don't have to accept some sort of invitation; too inconvenient and sometimes it gets buried in their inbox).? Not a deal breaker for the client but they've already executed other formalities to become a client in the first place (would like to cut down on the administrative overload and skipping your invite would be one way to to this).
