I'm not seeing the Reply to Group and Reply to Sender buttons. How do you have the Reply option set for your group? I've tried all kinds of combinations and am not getting it. I use Thunderbird on my PC and I'm also testing with a Yahoo e-mail address and don't see it there either. That sure would make things a lot easier.

In my email program, I see both "Reply to Group" and "Reply to Sender" links at the bottom of the message. The Private button is only on the web view.

Did you set a Display Name? Also, make sure under "Profile Policy" you selected either "public" or "other members of my group." Better yet, send us a screenshot (with private information redacted as necessary).

Also check Admin->Settings->Privacy and make sure "Member Directory" is set to "Subscribers."

The first thing I did on the platform was create my own account. Then I created the group. I direct added our members rather than migrate from Yahoo (I wanted to avoid bringing along members that have recently left our group).?
Should I make someone else an owner and then delete my whole account/profile and try to rejoin?

I doubt that will be necessary.

Go to Admin->Settings->Spam Control and tell us which boxes you have clicked. What to do depends on that.

Are you sure you have a member pending? It will also show a 1 if you have a message waiting to be moderated.

That seems like a great use for a subgroup, just for that region.

I should also mention another option:? Switch to individual messages instead of the digest. Then she won't have to log in at all, just hit the reply button as one would for any other message you receive.

None of this really explains why "Reply to Group" and "Reply to Sender" don't work. Those are mailto links and should open in the user's email client, not the web site. To fully troubleshoot this it would be nice to know what she's using to read email...in addition to my previous request for device and browser.

I have owned a Yahoo group since May 1, 2000 (originally on eGroups). I am
getting ready to drop the hammer on moving over to io and have already
secured the group there.

There is another Yahoo group that I am a moderator of. The original owner
has passed and the other owner asked me to become a co-owner.

These 2 groups are very closely related (users who have the product we
manufacture), but the second group is more regionalized.

I hate seeing splinter groups like this as it dilutes the information and
some people never see it unless they are a member of both.

So....

If I get my current group transferred and up and running, can I then do the
same with this other group, and have them melded into my new io group?

Have you set up a profile? Subscription->Group Profile->Edit Group Profile. Be sure to click the Update button at the bottom when you're done.

Login information is stored as a cookie. For security reasons, some people disable storing of cookies beyond a browser session, just in case they forget to log out. This makes sense for shared computers (say, at the local library), a smartphone that could become lost or stolen, etc. However, it doesn't make a lot of sense for a home computer in a secure location.

If you can get information from your subscriber as to what device and browser she is using to access the site, I'm sure someone here can provide details on how to configure it so the GIO login cookie will be "remembered."?

The rename may not touch everything. I renamed a subgroup A to B and sometime later I saw mail to or from A. It may be a minor thing because there was nothing misdelivered. I will have to check more to have an explicit example.

Just got an email from a member who is constantly being asked to sign in, even when replying to messages from her daily digest.?

after touching "Reply to group, reply on line, or any of the other options I'm asked to sign in. ?Using my email address. And my password which never works, or to sign in using google, etc or to email me a link to sign in which I get for one hour.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this???
