Re: photos in emails being resized to 640x640 even though 1024x1024 is selected
#bug
Emailed support and got a quick reply from Mark:
If the photos are in-line, that is, a part of the message and not just attachments, they are resized to a max of 640x640.Not sure why that should be the case, but it explains it. |
Still waiting for group to transfer
#transfer
It's been over a month since I invited?[email protected]?into our Yahoo group and made them a moderator. I had created an in-process transfer with all options ticked and the group was approved but nothing has happened since.
A few days ago I invited?[email protected]?again and created another transfer request but still nothing has happened. I've doubled checked?/yahootransfer?and I'm sure I've done everything on the checklist, now I'm stumped as to what do next. Mark |
Re: Is the main Transfer onslaught over yet?
Hi Paul, I'm a member of CRL and we have talked before. I moved my groups a couple of months ago and have not looked back. Your problem is going to be with the size of the group, so be prepared. My large group was 780, CRL is 10 time that. I had 40 Bouncing members, mostly Yahoo addresses, that didn't show up on Yahoo Groups, you will have ~400. I think you get the idea. I started by posting "Special Delivery" emails to the members so they would be prepared, even doing this left a few who didn't read. Additionally, 40 members left the group and when questioned, they were not active on Yahoo and decided to leave. I also put together a guides that I can share. If you want, contact me off list, Paul, Ohio, USA

Re: Member not receiving group emails
Hi John, First, in Yahoo mail it is called Spam, not Junk and she may be looking for "Junk." I have a genealogy group for Monmouthshire, Wales and have several members with Yahoo.uk email addresses and have no more complaints than are normal for Yahoo. Many have abandoned them for email addresses that work. Like Verizon/Yahoo Groups, their email is not reliable. Verizon/Yahoo
mail has had and continues to have periods where they don't deliver, send emails to spam
&/or bounce the emails. I know that it has been suggested to check
your bouncing list to see if she is on it, yet you didn't say if she is. If she is, she needs to clear
the bounce. The last thing I'd try is to remove her from the group and invite her back, if you have a premium group you can add her back. Her groups.io password should still work. Paul, Ohio, USA

I just rolled one of my groups from Yahoo to and it took only a few hours once I worked through the "how" it works. I chose not to transfer a ton of old photos. Ours has about 125 members in it right now with others needing to be added that weren't in the Y group. Angie Angela Breidenbach, president, Always good for your heart... I recently transferred my group, and kinda felt I came late to the party. ??has been around for several years. ?I think the fact that Y has gone downhill recently to the point where even simple mail is iffy... might increase the traffic.

Email Delivery History shows No Bouncing.
Most Recent Successful Delivery shows the last message posted as Successfully delivered. Thanks, I should have thought to look there... Any other ideas? John T - Join us at SciFi_Discussion

Member not receiving group emails
John T
Hi all,? I have one member who hasn't been receiving the group emails for a couple of days. Previously, no problem. I've asked her to check her Junk Mail folder, no luck.
Any ideas?? She's set to receive emails, singly.? Has a Name @ Yahoo.co.uk address.? Has been an active member for years when we were at Yahoo, and now that we've moved to Groups.IO she remained active until two days ago.? Could there be a blockage at Yahoo.co.UK ??? All help appreciated :) John T - Join us at SciFi_Discussion
