Be patient and check whether the transfer agent is a member of your Yahoo group. If so, remember to make it a Moderator, or the transfer cannot be completed.

Mark's vacation does not start until April 23rd.

Re: Transfer Yahoo Group

Yes I have gone through that process of "Start New Transfer" three times now over the last three days and then send the invite, also three times. I wasn't aware it was a manual process. Maybe he is really on vacation. Good for him. I'll just wait awhile longer.

Re: Transfer Yahoo Group

Has anyone had any problems recently with initiating a transfer? I've been trying for three days with no luck. I followed the guidance including starting a transfer and sending an invite to [email protected] to the Yahoo forum. I read the notice that it may take groups.io a day or two to respond to the invite but it has been three days now.

Did you use the "Start New Transfer" button to fill out the form at the bottom of the Yahoo Transfer Page? /yahootransfer If you've done that, give it a little while. Mark is technically on vacation, although I know he's still doing stuff behind the scenes. I suspect his idea of a vacation is what the rest of us would call a working vacation.

Cassie my group uses incredimail. You have to make sure you have the setting for HTML. Also do not put a size for the image. Once I did that the stationary comes out not broken any more.

Re: export and/or print directory

On Windows, you can save the data in a CSV file (memberlist.csv) and then open that file in Excel or any spreadsheet program.
How you save the data from the browser is browser dependent.? In Chrome, you can right-click and choose Save as...

A whole week?

Wow! And I've already started the process according to directions! I suppose I will just have to restart again. Might as well close the page and do something else.

Re: export and/or print directory

Go to Admin, Members. There is a download button.
NOT Directory.
I just tried pasting it into Numbers (Apple's version of Excel) and it looks wonderful!

export and/or print directory

I searched the messages and thought I had seen something about how to export (to word or excel) the membership list AND how to print it ALL at one time rather than page by page, but I can't find any posts related to the subject.? Can someone send me instructions on how to:
1. export the entire membership of my group to an excel or word document.
2. PRINT the entire membership all at once rather than just a page at a time.
Thanks in advance.

That's peculiar. This is normally determined by your Account settings. Go to Account->Preferences and uncheck "I always want copies of my own messages"

Are you using two different email addresses?

Hello Sharon, are you using Gmail by any chance on the groups where you are receiving two copies?

Indeed that is true, but I tested going to a Poll while not logged in and I was presented with the log - in page, so I don't think that's Marie's problem.
Subscribers often have a difficult time describing a problem accurately. Then that gets passed on to the owner, who passes it on to this group --? like "playing telephone" when we were kids.?

I am a bit concerned about that too; is logging in that much of a chore??
Lots of folks prefer email, and that's kinda why groups.io even exists. If not for the listserv capability everyone here would be using Facebook.

Re: Gmail apps alias unable to send

Sending this as littlejack@..., which should cause this email message to bounce, since I'm subscribed to this group as mbergen@....

I'm now starting to think that this is an issue with how gmail is handling sending from an alias.
?
Just to test, I'm going to send my next email to this group from my littlejack@ account, which should not go through.

I'm subscribed to this group as mbergen as that's what I intend to use for another group I'm planning? to bring to once I have a more complete understanding of it.?

Thanks for the tip about an alias on the group login page. Let me try that.

As group owners, we tend to stay logged in all the time, and it's easy to forget that many of our subscribers do not. In my groups, most never log into the site at all, and all their interactions are via email.?
I am finding exactly the same thing from a Poll that I have running at the moment on another Group; I find that a little odd given that web UI functionality is (IMHO) better than that available to email - only users.

With sampling skewed towards those members willing to jump through that hoop, I've found that the outcome of any poll is mostly untrustworthy.
I am a bit concerned about that too; is logging in that much of a chore? Having said that the Poll I have set up was actually to determine (in very broad terms) how members access Groups.io. I had a public exchange of posts with one member who suggested a "dislike" of logging in (an odd word to choose IMO); he also suggested slow internet speeds at some locations, which while entirely possible still sounds rather feeble as an excuse for never logging in.

OK; then I suggest that you check the settings for the Poll hashtag to make sure that it isn't set to Moderators only.

Re: question abpout bouncing

Not sure what you mean by "send the automatical bouncing email".??
There is a "Send Bounce Probe" button at the bottom of the member page of a bouncing member which resends a message to see if the address is still bouncing (getting an error).
Also see?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Help-Mock-up#Bounce-Handling

Re: #poll Creating Polls #poll

No. The hashtag was automatically created when I created the first poll.

Re: #poll Creating Polls #poll

Hi Chris,

I'm not sure if I'm the Marie you were talking about but thanks for this info. My members are having a hard time voting in the polls and are a bit confused with the move here. I know it's going to take them a bit but I am learning right along with you.

Thanks again for your help,
