Re: Photo album deletion
Click on Edit for the post, then scroll down to the attachment and select the Delete box, save the message.? This is another one of those things that I learned when it was introduced.? Not totally intuitive for new folks.

Re: Moving photos from one album to another
yes you could move pics on yahoo i run a card making group and we do several swaps a month and sometimes new members would put in wrong album and id have to move them, then at end of year i would move all pics to 1 album for the year then start with monthly albums again and would love to have that facility on io

davew,

Sorry, but it won't show for anyone who is not logged in as a member of the group you dragged it from.
Files and Photos stored in groups can't be shared publicly.

Re: accessing attachments
Paul,
I am an owner plus pay $110/yr and I don't see an "Upgrade" page under "Admin". What am I missing? Hover the cursor over your name in the upper right hand corner. That will show the email address you used to log in. Possibly you are logged in under an address which isn't a group owner? For example, a moderator absent the Billing permission. Re: Calendar notices
Richard,
When I create a calendar item and have it send the notice to the group. does it also get sent to members that have their email set to no email? No. Reminders and notices from calendar events are posted to the group as ordinary message posts. They will be delivered in accordance with each member's settings. Re: Mass update of moderation status
#moderation
davew,
When my tiny group was migrated, no-one was moderated as we were a private, on all group. That can be the default for members who join on their own or accept an invitation - controlled by the
New Users Moderated
checkbox in the Spam Control section of the group's settings. However I recently transferred three groups and can attest that the members retained their Y!Group posting Privilege, except for myself and another owner who were already in the Groups.io group. None of them transferred in with the NuM Privilege. Not such a bad thing, simply check the 'All' box at the top and changed to UnModerated. Problem solved. I do not recommend setting any members (maybe a very select few) to the Override - Not Moderated privilege. Use Default Post Policy instead. That way you can use the Moderated checkbox in the Spam Control section of the group's Settings page to stop a flame-war or other disruption in its tracks. ? I wouldn't bother.Hi Shal I don't believe that's true. When my tiny group was migrated, no-one was moderated as we were a private, on all group. This appears to be the default format. Not such a bad thing, simply check the 'All' box at the top and changed to UnModerated. Problem solved. For other groups- If any (members) coincidentally were still moderated, then yes you would have to manually restrict them. But surely numbers would be small anyway? regards davew |

Carl J¨®n Denbow
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThis should at least be an option for administrators. ?Today I had too delete photos in one album and then re-upload them to a newly created album. ?This is a new group devoted to family history on my maternal line. ?I uploaded a number of photos to a general folder not realizing that I could not then move them into new, more specific folder, as I organize things. Please implement this soonest!

Re: Moving photos from one album to another
...which reminds me...
Winnie, if you enable uploading of photos to your files area, then you can move them around with the scissors icon. Go to Admin->Settings->Files and click the box "Allow Photos in Files." Be sure to save your changes.? That won't help you much with moving any existing photos out of existing photo albums but I suspect this is probably what you were doing on Yahoo. Hope this helps (a little), Bruce |

Re: messages between individuals
J_Catlady
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýActually although it is an email list, and email addresses can be found, (a) it is often cumbersome to do so and (b) many people use only the web-based features. A PM or DM feature (whatever it ends up being called) would be very convenient. Most users would assume such conversations are private and I don¡¯t see any contradiction there. This was discussed in beta several years ago. Maybe someone can check to see if it ever made it to trello. On Mar 12, 2018, at 2:33 PM, dave w via Groups.Io <nzntrains@...> wrote:
