I've seen the same happen on Chrome and Firefox once in a blue moon, and usually Ctrl-F5 fixes it. Cheers, Christos |

Anyone know what happened? Something changed in Edge.? If you had the browser open when the update was done, you wouldn't have seen the problem until it was restarted.

problem with Edge
I am using Edge as my browser on Windows 11. Yesterday morning, after successfully viewing my IO groups, all of a sudden I was getting this screen instead of a view of my groups:
Clicking on any of those lines does nothing. I am able to see other websites just fine. I switched to Chrome and I can access my groups just fine. Anyone know what happened? It's not just me. Another of my members using Edge is reporting the same thing. Strange that it didn't happen right after a Windows update. I've cleared my cookies and still not able to view my groups.?

Altenatively, go for "Daily Summary" which does

Does anyone know how long it typically takes before a group is approved? Is it minutes, hours, days? For future reference, it can be from a few minutes to a day or so.? Paid groups get priority, but even they will get approved faster if there's a good description for the group.? It will also depend on Mark's (site owner) personal situation - sickness, overseas vacation, etc.

Re: how quickly until a group is approved
Never mind. Turns out it was less than an hour (at least for me today). On Mon, Feb 10, 2025 at 2:11?PM Gordon Strause via <gordonstrause=[email protected]> wrote:

how quickly until a group is approved
Just started an alumni group that I was hoping to post to today. Didn't realize that one couldn't post until the group was "approved."
Does anyone know how long it typically takes before a group is approved? Is it minutes, hours, days? Trying to figure out if I'll need to send out my time sensitive message another way. Thanks! ?

Yes, the manual does say that but I've never encountered it...Happened to me a couple days ago - right here in GMF - found some messages on the web site that were posted in the wee hours (local time) but weren't delivered in the morning digest. That [up to 30 hours] seems an unreasonable delay to me. Me too. I'm "pretty sure" it was prompted by some folks who received a pair of digests nearly back-to-back (i.e.: bracketed by the 0600 hour) and thought something was broken. Not sufficient reason, IMO, but it is what it is.

For example, if there are enough messages posted to a group that cause a Digest to be sent in the early hours of the morning (say 02:00) and then other messages (less than 12) are posted before 06:00. According to the manual, a Digest wouldn't be produced at 06:00 because one has been sent within the last 6 hours, but it doesn't say precisely when it will be. If no other messages are posted to the group, it would seem that the next Digest would be created at 06:00 the following day I believe this is correct.? If there were additional posts added to the 'remainder' that bring the total to 12, then a digest would be sent.? If none, then it would indeed be the next day.? This would seem to be an unusual situation, but could happen.? There would need to be a spurt of posts to cause a digest, then little or nothing for many hours.? Adding in that each person's subscription settings, including muting, can cause different delivery rates makes it more difficult to calculate exactly when the next delivery would be attempted.

can I re-direct the whole topic and its attachments to the correct subgroup No.? A subgroup is pretty much a stand alone group and there's no way to move things between them.? The only things I can think of are to ask the member, and replies, to post in the correct subgroup or you could forward/copy to a new topic there.? You'd be shown as the author though.

You suggested I check to see what email has been sent to a member who says she is not getting her digest. Would you please tell me where to check; I see only each member¡¯s preference for digest/single/summary etc. Thanks Emily? ?
In Admin, go to Members. Search for the member you want. Use the Membership dropdown menu. You can see Activity History as well as Email Delivery History.

As mentioned, this is only emailed to those you select and doesn't appear in the message archive.
