Re: groups.io will not accept a group's member's e.mail forward from gmail
The "alias" did not work! This is the message log now for each attempt for gmail account mhcgfx1b9j to forward to [email protected]: Non-member mhcgfx1b9j+caf_=p7j3q9k5=groups.io@... attempted to send message "Find Deals Near You With Your Twigby Discount Program" via email And the member?is clearly there: ???? Mom ??? mhcgfx1b9j@... ??? No Email ??? Sep 7 And the alias is: Aliases ??? mhcgfx1b9j+caf_@... So the alias is in place and the member is correct but email forwarded from mhcgfx1b9j@... is STILL not being accepted and distributed to the group. What next? As I have repeatedly said, many other groups.io I have created in the past have never had this problem with forwarding from a gmail member AND never needed an "alias". I'm at Witt's End! regards, rich painter

Re: Transfer number from one group to another?

I have a similar situation. Our main group ["general members"] is on the Premium plan - mainly just to support this platform - while the BOD group is Basic. Whenever we have our annual election results, I remove the outgoing board members from the BOD group and send the incoming ones an invitation.
?
If your member notices of type Removed Member and Invite are set up properly in the leadership group then these activities pretty much explain themselves. However, the incoming board members do have to opt in and click the link, which sometimes requires a little hand-holding.
?
Hope this helps,
Bruce

The groups would be separate entities and there's no single action you can take that would transfer a member from one group to another.? As an Owner, you can always remove a member from a group. If you have a Premium group, you can Direct Add a member to that, otherwise, you would be limited to sending them an invite and waiting for them to respond. ?

is the lone mod in a different time zone?

Second you said after the weekend closure. Is that really what you mean? ?After the group is taken out of announcement mode and put back to regular mode that this individual has a problem?

Your previous messages said she was trying to write to just one member. You wrote: "after the group is closed with Announcements Only, she still can't give a reply to someone in the group. It turns into a Private Message to her private email. It didn't use to be that way."
?
Can your member please tell us exactly what she does?
When I go to my test announcement group, I open a message from another member. I click to reply. The To automatically changes to Sender - i.e. the member who wrote the message.
And it goes through Groups.io. I can see it in Activity.
?
There is another way to write to an individual member and that is using Message in the User Details page, scroll to the bottom.
?
I don't see how it flips to her personal email, out of Groups.io. ?Since it is the weekend coming up, perhaps she can test emailing you from the group and make a list of the steps she takes.

Re: Pictures placed in messages end up bunched up at bottom of message
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
The settings of each user make a big difference,
both in the email service they use and in the?
settings of the group they access on Groups.io.
In either case, if the user configures to send
and/or receive messages in "text mode" instead
of "html", the embedded images will become?
attachments. The same thing happens if the?
group owner configures it to "text mode".
This is because you cannot insert images?
into text when you are in "Text Mode".?
Different people may get different results?
when using the same group message?
because of the differences in their settings.
