Re: Dark mode and hashtags
Just curious, is there a way - setting, code, etc - that you can change the color of hashtags?? For example, maybe a medium blue (like we use for hyperlinks)?? That way the dark mode won't be a problem and the hashtags will be legible? ~Chelle in OKC ======= On Thu, Apr 25, 2024 at 5:30?PM SafeTex via <safetex=[email protected]> wrote:

Group Owner not receiving messages to owner
Hi - I just realized that I am not receiving messages sent to main+owner@ (and never have, I don't think!) ?They should be sent to my gmail address but they are not. ?The only thing I get is the request to join approval message. ?I'm the owner, my email is correct (I get everything else). ?I checked the "receive all mail" button. ?But nothing is actually being sent to me. ?In activity, I can see the message that I sent to myself (as owner), and can read it there, but that message is never sent on to my actual email address. ? Am I missing something basic? ?Is there some place I can log in as the owner and read messages that are sent to owner? ?Is there somewhere else that lets you choose a different email address for the owner address besides the personal account of the owner? |

Bouncing workaround.
I manage the group for my Church.?
Many members (including older ones) are tech novices so it is difficult for them to follow the normal procedure to clear a bounce. Folks are approaching me to complain they are not getting list messages and want to know "can't you just fix it?" If I know that a bouncing address is clear (I can send email to it with no problem), can I work around by unsubscribing the member, then doing a direct add? I know this is not the "approved" method, but I don't see anything forbidding it either. Opinions? Thanks in advance, Tom |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýAnd remember notices, you will need to disable the leave notice if you have one active. To check to see what notices you have active, go to admin and two member notices.

Re: How to globally remove photos/files from messages
Hello Andy.?
I do not know what you mean when you say "switch to the new U".? Can you tell em what you mean by this?? Is this an option I can change in my forum here?? And if I do this, I can globally remove all the photos and files sent via email to my forum?? Do I have to pay Group IO extra money for this? Thanks for trying to help me. Jack |

Re: How to globally remove photos/files from messages
Hi...? It is a permission issue in Group IO.? I let all members make folders in the file area and the photo area.? And I regularly post a message detailing how they can go to the file area or the photo area and post and and text.? Few do this.? They just attach a photo or file to an email and post like that.
I will have to turn off file attachments for a while until I can delete all the files and photos people have posted. I am sorry this can not be done with just one or two mouse clicks to remove all the photos and files that are attached to messages..? I pay good money to have my forum here.? I am not asking for much. Jack |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOK, fair enough. I habitually have the website open at </groups>, where I see all my groups listed, so I can easily see if any need any action such as approvals. I suppose some might be a member of only one group.Otto

Re: Can I remove a member with out the member knowing?
We always let a member know if, because of their behavior, we're going to put them on moderation, remove them, or ban them. We've had to ban two subscribers, and we've put a few on temporary moderation, and a couple on permanent moderation. It's standard practice for us to give them specifics on why we've done it.
