Good Afternoon,

I looked but was unable to find or figure out how to or if it is possible to move multiple files and or photos at once from the Files section or the Photos section. For example, holding the shift while selecting multiple files in Windows allows selection of multiple files at once or holding the ctrl allows selection of multiple specific files for copying, deletion, pasting etc..?

Is this possible in the groups.io?

From the manual, it appears that you only get a warning when you've used 80% of your storage. Is there any way to check storage to better understand your groups storage use before hitting 80%? I could better set current photo policies if i knew the rate at which our group is growing its storage use.

Of course, I could. The same could be said for Database, Files and Photos, you can always use an external service and link it. However, since GIO offers a feature, why not make it better?
GIO Polls offer the possibility to target a very specific segment, for instance allowing only members of a certain subgroup to take part in the survey. I find it a very valuable aspect.

If you export the photos, you would have a list of the folders, but extra work.

There are two more ways of getting the info, one graphical the other text, but both also extra work.? Possibly one more way using the API but I haven't looked at it.

1. Move a photo, and when the Move dialog comes up, the albums will be listed there in the dropdown, see attached, so a screenshot (or more) will be needed and it would be a list in graphic format.

2. While that Move dialog is open, do Ctrl+S and save the html page.? Open it with Notepad, and the folders are listed under the albumid class, so search for name="albumid", and under it the folders will be listed, and a list can be created by removing the html code, eg:

If the /photos page code were to be enhanced to allow the page to display as currently (i.e. "Icons" format), but also by adding to it a toggle to change to a "Details" list format such as used in Files, that would now allow one to see all* the albums. (*or at least however many it would show per screenfull based on their Items Per Page setting)

No.? I don't think anyone has ever asked that before.? If you export the photos, you would have a list of the folders, but extra work.

Any "Export" just sends a copy of the information, nothing is changed on the group.

I think your homepage needs paring down. Too much space and everything is double-spaced. The crucial info is below the fold - they have to scroll to down twice (with a track pad) to the email addresses, group information and group settings.

I am a bit surprised with Group Settings for your group:

I just clicked on Join This Group on your homepage and I was immediately told I was a member! And I can read the message archive.

Is this really what you want?

But if I want to send a link for someone to join my group, what link would that be if my group is called PeachheadNanny?? In other words, if I send an e-mail saying:? To join PeachheadNanny you can send an e-mail to [email protected]?or you can go to this website and join the group there......what website would I use??

Would it be??/g/PeachheadNanny/topics?or another link?? Hi LindA, the address that you shared here, is the correct address to your homepage for your main group. You need to tell members that are wanting to apply, to scroll all the way down to the bottom past the subscription addresses, and click on applied for membership. This will send you a request to approve them. I hope this helps and answers your question.

Why not invite them using the Invite mechanism?

It works smoothly. You can track the request. Resend it if necessary.

Yes, as an Owner/Moderator I was hoping there was a way to download one folder out of many that are in our Files section.

The closest I can remember is for a group admin to export the Files area of the group, but that gets them all.? No way for members to do that.

Thanks. I am an Owner. Question came up during our Files reorganization process. Not interested in having Members do that. (There are many "would be nice to have" things we encountered, but don't know how to address those to the people who could actually make the changes in groups.io.)
