Photo sorting #bug ?
#bug
[Subject enhanced by moderator]
Hi all, ?
Is anyone else having a problem getting items to sort correctly in an album?? I have the items within an album numbered and had to add one out of sequence but can't find a way for the album to put it in sequential order.
?
I've tried clicking on Name up and down, Posted up and down and Taken up and down and nothing puts it in the correct order - just one item is out of whack.
?
I've even edited it and retyped the name to make sure there were no spaces, etc. in it to throw it out of sequence.
?
Is that a bug or am I doing something incorrectly?
?
Sincerely,
?

Bulk change status?
In a group I manage, many old time members are set as moderated due to some
changes way back when. They should really be Use Group Moderation Setting as a year or two ago I corrected things so it used the New Member Moderated for N messages and then (I think) changing to Use Group Moderation Setting. But all these old timers shouldn't be Moderated anymore. Can I do a bulk change? I see I can filter by they status, but can I make a click or two and change everyone on the list? -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team www.jmri.org www.fingerlakeslivesteamers.org www.cnymod.com www.syracusemodelrr.org |

How can I change it to sent out notices at 8 am again like it used to?Alak -- I cannot speak to whether any behavior has changed recently for recurring all-day meetings. However, you can force a #cal-notice to go out at 8 am by making that the start time (instead of using the All Day checkbox). Put the actual hours in the Description field. Possible problem in Members section?
Hi Everyone,
??? I'm not sure if anyone can help me figure out this problem, but I figured it didn't hurt to ask.
??? Every so often I go to Admin, Members, click on a member's name and check their Activity History. Because I'm checking several members at a time, I just click the "back" arrow. If I'm on page 1 of the members, there's no problem returning to previous pages. But any page beyond that, I get the alerts shown below.
??? Now, I understand the alerts are from Firefox, but what I don't understand is why page 1 is always fine, but pages 2 and up don't work? It's the same on all of my groups.
??? Thanks for any help!!
what I mean by member page numbers....this was page 3
alert #1, this shows up when I hit the back arrow
after I click "Try Again" on alert #1, alert #2 shows up, then I click "Resend" and it finally takes me back to the "Members" page

Re: Group Promotion
Hi Bruce,
Thank you. Yes, and has been working flawlessly for a number of years. ?I will go and and do some homework. ?The back story is that the guy who has done the code management of the website got a regular job, was brilliant, got promoted 4 times and is now a senior manager and....the rest is history. I am pretty good at managing thousands in my community, not so good at the details of code. But your kindness and logic gives me the clarity to pinpoint what happened and find a good solution. And I drive a ?26 year old 4-Runner and sometimes just some random thing breaks. I have a good mechanic. ?That is the missing. part in the code equation right now. LOL. ?My grandson will be moving in today for some respite care. I will have a chat with him first.? You last suggestion is perfect. I understand it, it makes sense and I can easily sort it. Thank you for the insight!!! Kathleen Who started doing online community when Mark started doing e-lists ...So I am one grateful puppy. |

This is a subject that was apparently last covered in 2018.
I've got a Group that a message was sent to us by a member on a new subject to us. It has taken on a life of its own - so I created a SubGroup to 'section it out.' I figured there HAD to be a way to simply link, or Forward, or Move, or SOMETHING to get the - now three distinct-but-same-topic - thread ported over to the new SubGroup. And then i checked the Owners Manual, and then this Group threads. Has any progress or change been made in what I read here - that there's no way to do that?! I will Merge all of the messages, and then the three Topics together - in the main message gallery. But I so want to get this all over into its own section... Thanks all. |
