If you were removed automatically by Groups.io for spam, that's not your co-owner.
It might have been you marking an email as spam or likely your internet provider.
See?/helpcenter/membersmanual/1/working-with-group-messages/responding-to-a-you-have-been-removed

If you think your co-owner did something, look at moderator activity.

Re: emails are not going to the groups #question

That's a different matter. That's about a message you RECEIVED, not one you SENT. You flagged a message from as spam or your email provider did it on your behalf. So stopped sending you emails that you didn't want to receive until you confirmed that it was a mistake.

I need to clarify that.? It doesn't use a spam filter for members of a group.? As Lena mentioned, it does attempt to filter non-member messages.

I doubt that it would work with all Atom feeds, especially those that use features not found in RSS.? For a simple feed, it's probably okay.? If you'd like to request Atom compatability, you can make the suggestion on the .

Groups.io doesn't have a spam filter, just a virus scanner, so your problem is elsewhere (unless Comcast has a problem with the headers they use).

Tess, can you tell us what you mean by "Emails with a link and or the use of BCC's are going through any of the groups I belong to nor my own group"?
Are you sending to multiple groups at once?
How are you using BCC?
Are the links in "emails with a link" in the body of the email and is there other text as well in the email?

Just click on Date above and to the right of the topic.? Each click will reverse the sort order.? You can also select different options for overviews (Topics, Messages, Expanded).? Your selection will be remembered for that view until you change it.? FYI, things like this that can be changed by each member are in the Members Manual.? The group owner can't control which view/setting members choose to use.

Posted replies #postpreviews

Hi,

I have been looking to see if it is possible to have posts to a topic listed in revers oder, newest first, that is with the latest post on the first page rather than the last page. I have not found anything in the owners help manual so can someone tell me if this is possible?

The reason for asking is when a topic starts to get quite a few replies it can run into several pages and you then have to trawl through the pages to get to the latest reply.

For interest my group is provided for amateur radio users of a specific group and as such I have a pinned a topic which we use to give notifications on a day to day basis of the frequency we use on that particular day (a set frequency is not always possible due to other amateurs using the same band). As you can understand this topic has becomes quite a few pages after a short period of time.

Hamish

I don't think it's the force that's causing the problem.? I did a test and changed the topic properties to Reply to Sender instead of the default Reply to Group and it still posted online.? Seems to be glitches (bugs) that haven't been quite squished for some combinations.? If/when I have time, I'll do more testing and post to beta for Mark's attention (or you can).

Re: Reply options inconsistent in footer

Frances, if you force HTML, does it override the reply rule you set
for a hashtag? I just tested this, and it looks like it does. Here's
what I mean: I checked the "force to HTML option for a subgroup, and
set a rule on a hashtag to a "reply to sender" instruction, rather
than the "reply all" that is the default for messages without the
hashtag. I created a message in text format and sent it to the group.
But it appears that the hashtag default of "reply to sender" is
overridden when the text message is forced into HTML. Is that correct?
I want the hashtag rule to control.

Dan -- Your database has a URL within groups.io. Just "upload" that URL to your Files area as a "Generic Link."

As for "pinning" it, that could be problematic. The only way to know to do that is to provide this new "file" with a Name that would sort to the top (alphabetically).

Likewise, I'd like to create a column in the database/table the would link back to the individual folder for that individual.
In your database, create a column of type Link. Add the URL for the folder in question in each cell, along with an appropriate Title and Description. Default color for a database column now seems to be blue; be sure to select something else or the link will not be visible.

Finally, please note that when you click on any of these links -- either the one you "uploaded" to the Files area or the ones in your database table -- the destination always opens in a new browser tab. I don't know of any way to override this behavior.

Hope this helps,
Bruce

Database Questions #database #links

Overall, I created a File folder that contains a number of individual file folders.
Stored in it are single, personal files, one for each of the members who have died, that members can post memento's , etc. about that member.

I have created a Database (table) with pertinent information listing all of the members who have died.

I would like to PIN that database as the top 'entry/document/file' in the top-level folder. Likewise, I'd like to create a column in the database/table the would link back to the individual folder for that individual.

Restated: a Master folder contains 1, 2, 3, 4, 5~ individual folders; I want to PIN the Database ahead of file number 1, to perform as a 'locator' or 'index'.
I'd like the Database to contain a column that has a link back to file number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5~

Thanks!

It depends whether the message is HTML formatted or plain text.?
See?/helpcenter/membersmanual/1/additional-information/understanding-message-footers

You can force all email to be HTML.?
