Re: Re-sending messages from the list

Is there any way to re-send list messages as individual emails to members? No and yes.? There's not a direct way.? However, you can change your delivery to include following, then follow the topic(s) where you missed messages.? That should send you all of the messages in the topic(s).? This should work as long as you've chosen individual messages, but I don't remember for sure. Duane -- Lots of detailed information can be found in the Owners Manual and Members Manual. |

True But to be of ongoing value Sandi will likely need to periodically update a vid or slideshow that¡¯s customized to those admins. ?So a generic one would be same. ?Doesn¡¯t hurt ( I don¡¯t see any pain in taking a long shot and asking since it benefits both ends} but thinking outside the box isn¡¯t for everyone¡¯s taste of course! ?A ¡°Thanks, but no thanks¡± really isn¡¯t that painful. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýFE,You mentioned you have other legacy groups, if one of them was a basic legacy group, could you possibly exchange these two groups? If not, one possible way to (more-or-less) accomplish this using GIO only could be a pinned message, let's say "List of available rescues", with an optional #available, #rescuelist, etc hashtag if desired.? You'd start the topic once with the list attached in whatever format you decide on, and when the list needs updating, people can reply to that message with the latest list attached.? The admin (you) would then need to keep on top of it so there is only one message with the attached (latest) list showing.? A bit of user how-to education would be needed, and users would have to be able to get on GIO online, meaning they either would need to use the "Email me a link to log in" feature or have set up their GIO account with a password, if they wanted to get to it that way, or if they want to use email only, make sure they set their subscription to something that will email them messages, and reply to it as needed.? It's not the most elegant and easy way (but then again IMO not any harder than using an outside storage facility) and it would require some admin & user diligence to ensure only the latest copy is there but it can work.? Have a look at /g/ChristosPsarras/topics for an example of simulating Files, Photos, & Wikis using pinned messages. Also, as mentioned, getting (at least) 22 of the members to contribute $10 once every year would cover the yearly fee. Cheers, Christos On 2022-05-15 22:09, FE Baxter via

This might not fit your group well, but one option might be a free web hosting
site with a phpBB forum installed (there are other brands of forum-hosting software). If you have someone who knows how to do this sort of thing, the labor cost would be zero. Personal Groupware offers a service to set you up with just such a thing. I don't know how the file storage works on GoDaddy and such sites but there should be some way of doing that. He might be able to set up a Wordpress site instead, or in addition to the forum. I've done both myself for non-profits, but I'm not a pro, and I don't hire myself out for this sort of thing. You could buy a domain instead of using a free one and your organization would own that domain. If you moved to another web hosting site, you could backup and restore your site to another web hosting service then point your domain to the new site. From the perspective of anyone accessing your site, it would look just like any business site if you design it to look that way (that part is not difficult). Here are a few examples of an online forum: There are also sites like Proboards that you can set things up with minimal effort. (I don't know what their options are for file storage.) I thought I'd toss this out as an alternative to a premium group here. If it won't fit your organization well, then you can always pay for a premium group or find a different solution. >>> Have any of you used other cloud based free document sharing such as Google Sheets?
I think you should be able to use Google Sheets for your requirement. This is how it should work: 1.?? Make sure you have a Google account (Gmail).? Then you will have access to your Google Drive. 2.? Create your document (text or spreadsheet) and save on your Google Drive. 3.? Next make your document sharable and copy the Link that is generated. 4.? Forward the Link to those who need to access the document. I am not a regular user of Gmail or Chromebook and have used the above process just once.?? As a PC user, I had to stumble and learn. |
