Re: Possible Bug
Leeni,
So, I looked below for the specific graphic and checked to delete theChecking the box deleted only the image file containing the image, not the text in the body of the message which referenced it. Then I hit save and opened it up again to make sure that the violatedIf there's a bug here it may be this: that the on-site view doesn't show a broken image icon at the spot where the image file was referenced. If it did you'd have known you needed to take the second step of deleting the reference. The more complicated fix (for Mark) would be to find and eliminate the references when images are deleted from a pending message. Now in the email, this is what we see where the graphic used to be.Standard missing/broken image icon plus the name of the image file. That's what most HTML rendering applications would show when there's a reference to a file that can't be found or read. I am not sure if this is a bug or not.Tough call. I'd say it isn't a bug, exactly, but a lack of a smooth user interface. As a #suggestion in beta I'd say the suggestion would be: When editing a Pending message, delete any HTML <img> tags referencing a file when the checkbox is used to delete that file. Re: Active member disappeared from records and was placed as a Pending Member
Lis R.
Linda,
?
it happened to me too, I am getting my favorite members getting removed and I know that he and she probably voluntarily got removed for some reason.

The failed attempts were found when I used her email address to search. But, after that, I checked the main Activity log of all activity in the group. All it showed were her attempts to send the mail after she'd somehow been removed. It still doesn't show her leaving the group. It only shows where she became a new pending member.

Re: Active member disappeared from records and was placed as a Pending Member
By notification, I mean an email sent to me. Sorry if I confused the issue.
I receive an email every time someone leaves the group. And, my junk folder alerts me every time something is in it. Do you see why I'm so puzzled? LOL

bouncing members
#bouncingemails
As an owner of several groups, I have never really paid any attention to the bouncing status of members unless they contact me to say they are not getting group messages, and then I investigate. In looking today at the list of bounced members, especially with the red B, I noticed that some had Yahoo accounts that were no longer valid and they had another account with a different email address. If I delete their account listed with the old Yahoo address, will that affect their new account with the new address?
? Also, is it really necessary for a group owner to do anything about the accounts that have the red B, other than to maintain the group list as current? Annick |
Re: How to change the max attachment size setting for the entire group?
Hello Frances, ? ?Doing that just changes the default for newly added group members -- not my existing 650 members.? It sounds like Duane has the answer -- I have to change it one at a time manually, or ask group members to do it themselves (which I'm not going to try because it'll be beyond their level of expertise?in many cases). ? ?Shucks, there should be an admin way to do this all at once for the whole group. ? ? ? Active member disappeared from records and was placed as a Pending Member
??? I received an email from a member stating that their mail wouldn't go through to the group. I checked through my mail from that group and saw a Subscription Approval Needed notification for that person. I thought that odd since that person has been active in our group since December 26th. I went to the GIO site and found the same thing. There is no record in my email, nor on the site, that she left the group or was removed from the group...only the Subscription Approval Needed notification in my email, her name listed in the Members Pending Approval section, and her attempts to send mail to the group in the Activity History section. It's as if she didn't exist until today. ??? After further investigation, I found out that she was attempting to change her email address. I couldn't get any more information, such as how she attempted to do it, etc. But, what I don't understand is how she got removed with no record whatsoever of her actions. She's still using the same email address, so there should be some sort of a record. At the very least, there should have been an email notification. But, there's nothing.
??? This has never happened to me before. What can I do to make sure it never happens again?
Thanks For Your Time,
Linda
