Uploading files on an iPad not working

I am unable to upload files from an iPad. The +new button and drop down menu appear. If upload file is selected from the drop down menu, nothing happens. My settings allow members to upload files and there is plenty of storage space left. No problem with uploading files from a computer.

Re: changing ownership and email for group

Thanks Bruce, becoming clearer :)?
Re- If you change yourself to a regular Member, then Admin functions will no longer be available to you, but the group name won't "disappear"
???? I meant that as I am no longer an admin when I go to my groups it won't be there, obvious I guess but just checking. Paranoid that something will change and nobody would be able to use it.

Been a while since I logged in and couldn't remember if members have to log in but obviously they must.? I always stay logged in so have never had to bother.

I will leave the group to other owners but will recommend a couple of them take it over.? Basically the original group was on yahoo and owned by someone else who was happy with just e-mail communications but these clog my inbox.
I prefer to be able to see a list of topics with postings in sequence so set this up thinking people may switch but only a few did.? So I will pass it to them to continue as they are more invested in it.
Thanks for your help.? John

I use Firefox with the Multi-Account Containers add-in which keeps cookies and session details isolated between tabs.

No need for multiple browsers and different windows. I use a different coloured tab for each login (Owner/Mod/Member). Simple and effective.

That has not been discussed here before. Groups.io allows both Google and Facebook logins. On that basis I assume it is version 2.0, but that's speculation.?You should probably send a message to [email protected]?on this. If you get a response, please report back.

Re: I got removed from my group I created

One wild guess is that a group-message sent to you landed in the spambox and was deleted automatically, your emailprovider reported that to groups.io, groups.io unsubscribed you automatically and sent you a reactivation-request.

Do you regularly check your spambox?

I don't know what you mean by "give someone a group name."

It sounds like to you want to transfer ownership?of one of your groups to someone else. Is that correct?

I have two groups on my login and am not sure what happens is I effectively transfer it to a new owner as regards passwards etc.
You make someone a co-Owner according to the instructions found at?/helpcenter/ownersmanual/1/managing-moderators-and-additional-owners/making-a-member-an-owner-or-moderator. Essentially, you open that person's subscription record (in the Member List) and update the Role field. You will have to do this separately for each group that you want to transfer to him.

Anyone who is already a member of a group already has an account, with it's own login. There is no reason to share your login credentials.

I make a group member an owner so now both of us are owners, I then make myself a member so he is now the only owner.
Correct...assuming that you no longer want to be an Owner. Please consider remaining a co-Owner anyway, just in case he gets sick or something like that.?

? Q. What happens then, I assume the group name disappears as I am no lo[n]ger an owner so don't see the owner options like Admin ?
If you change yourself to a regular Member, then Admin functions will no longer be available to you, but the group name won't "disappear" (frankly, I'm?not sure what you mean by that).
?
Now the other person is the Owner but how does he Log in ?
He will log in the same way he has always logged in.

? Q Do I have to give him the password so he can sign in and change things, I then log in on my other site and change my password there ?
No...in fact, I recommend that you do not provide him with any of your account information.

Hope this helps,
Bruce?

Re: changing ownership and email for group

Hi, my first post here.? Trying to clarify how I give a group name to a member of the group.? I am just being cautious as to what happens when I do this, hence the questions.
I have two groups on my login and am not sure what happens is I effectively transfer it to a new owner as regards passwards etc.
So.
I make a group memeber an owner so now both of us are owners, I then meke myself a member so he is now the only owner.
? Q. What happens then, I assume the group name disappears as I am no loger an owner so don't see the owner options like Admin ?

Now the other person is the Owner but how does he Log in ?
? Q Do I have to give him the password so he can sign in and change things, I then log in on my other site and change my password there ?

Mainly the password aspect that is the problem as I am not sure of the 'silos' these things live in.? If he is the sole owner how does he log in as Admin.
Sure it is straightforward I just don't want to do a transfer and find he can't log in or we both use the same password.? Any help appreciated.?
?
