No.? That is the IP address of the email server at GIO.? For some reason, aliceposta has decided that no email should be allowed from GIO, so they've put it on a blacklist.? If members do complain, it's up to them to contact the service to explain that they do want to receive email from the lists.

aliceposta accounts in hard bounce

Checking the Bouncing members list in my group, I have noticed that several members with accounts on aliceposta.it are in hard bounce status with the same error message:
"smtp.aliceposta.it: 550 mail not accepted from blacklisted IP address [66.175.222.12]"
The IP number is always the same.

I am not sure about the cause and no member has complained about this problem so far.
Is there anything that I can do?

Thank you for your help.

Groups.io site updates #changelog

Hi all,

This week's change log:

Feel free to reply to this topic if you'd like to comment on the
changes. Or better yet, if you expect a lot of discussion start a new
topic (or rejoin an existing one) about a specific change.

CHANGE: Updated the Members Manual with changes on Wiki page URLs.
CHANGE: Wiki pages now use the wiki page ID instead of the title (with
exceptions for _Sidebar/_Footer) to prevent link breakage when
titles change.
Yay! I much prefer the shorter URLs, and the fact that we won't have to chase broken links (going forward).

The posting about in beta mentioned that the existing Title-based URLs will be forwarded, so this doesn't break existing links nor does it require a sweep through the wiki to update cross-page links.

NEW: When a person is banned from Groups.io, we now log that in all
groups they were a member of, and we remove all subscription data
instead of just hiding it, which should keep sub counts correct.
Good. This will hopefully eliminate the mystery "what happened to that member" that sometimes cropped up when tracing a member through the Activity log.

Comments about these others are also welcome:

CHANGE: Allow background and mso-highlight CSS styles in messages.
CHANGE: Various icon changes for more consistency.
BUGFIX: The sending of a new confirmation email by a moderator using
the 'Send Confirmation Email' button was not logged properly in the
email delivery section.
NEW: Logging to the activity log when we send the group guidelines out
and when we send monthly reminder messages out.
INTERNAL: Optimized a database call when generating digests.
BUGFIX: Don't include links to profiles of banned members when viewing
messages.
CHANGE: When visiting a manual in the help center, display the table
of contents.
INTERNAL: A lot of work to enable distributed tracing of the internal
systems.

Please call out any you find significant.

Shal

Re: Question about Hashtag font color #hashtags

I have discovered that the text of the hashtags shows up a lot clearer when a darker color hashtag is chosen AND the text of it is rendered in all caps.

That may be a simple quick-fix workaround for some groups so their members can read the hashtags more easily.

Most of the hashtags on this group were created automatically, so use the default colors.? I don't think a moderator wants to take the time to change them all (I certainly don't).? Any changes for the site would need to be requested on the beta group as a suggestion.

The 42 colors shown on the Edit Hashtag page are the only ones available. If you'd like groups.io to include a color picker where you can choose your own RGB values you would have to post that as a #suggestion in the beta group ().

How About a Light Blue #hashtags colour! #hashtags

KAD

It is a low priority request, however it would be a whole lot easier to see YOUR hashtags if you used a lighter blue, thanks.

Re: Need a little help with Database

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hallo Margo,

Well done working with the database.

You should be able to format a cell with lots of content to "wrap" .
This will make the cell keep its width but will grow in height to accommodate all the content. It will also make that entire row grow in Height.

On my old system the command is Select the said cell, then Format/Alignment/Wrap text

OK,
Tony

Re: Need a little help with Database

Margo,

I think what you want to do is leave the paragraphs alone and use the Excel "Wrap Text" function. In other words, select the column(s) that needs adjusting and click on "Wrap Text".

Here's an example snip from Excel...

No.

It's the last post in the message thread as #44.? Other messages in the same message thread without images show the SPLIT TOPIC menu function.
But is it the first post on the page?? If so, click on Date to get it to the bottom and you can split it as previously explained, /g/GroupManagersForum/message/31684
