I still support the idea. I don't know where it fits in Groups.io's list of suggestions, but I see no reason not to reply to it now, especially if you can articulate a compelling use case for the feature.

I’m about to go to bed and will be closing down the computer. Is there
any way to jump to this same page when I start again tomorrow?

In a completely different vein than Bruce's, I've selected the option in my browsers (Firefox and Edge) to have them restore the tabs (windows) from my previous session when I start up again.

Of course neither of these address the underlying issue: that Groups.io lacks a "go to" capability for these paginated lists.

I have 4 members that haven't responded to our groups email since we migrated from Yahoo at the beginning of Dec. 2019 that had the gsmtp code. I assumed from the research above they were receiving the email but it was going into their spam. Then I checked my own email to see what the normal code looked like and it had the gsmtp code at the end and I received the email ok.

Perhaps. But my purpose in this topic was to help you and other readers to understand and use Groups.io as it is. The (belated) screen shots were only a means to that end.

If you want to discuss possible improvements to site navigation perhaps you should start a new topic for that to make it clear to readers that it contains suggested site improvements rather than "how to" information. BTW, although suggestions discussed in GMF won't be seen by Groups.io, I've no problem with discussing them here to "hone" them before posting them in beta. As long as the topic is clearly identified as such.

To answer this question - No.

My understanding of the beta suggestion is that would hide ALL messages, making the group email only.

I thought about this for quite some time when out walking the dog. :) If someone applies "out of the blue" and provides a response to the Pending Subscription message in some way that is unsatisfactory (for want of a better word) then they can have their application rejected; no problem. But to my way of thinking inviting someone to join and then rejecting them for some reason seems somehow dishonourable or perhaps just plain rude.

I can just see the point that Cindy made in her post, but only just. Obviously this is a purely personal opinion but sometimes the degree of control that Owners seem to want to exercise crosses the border into micromanagement.

We just transferred from Yahoo group a month ago. A clean migration of 38,000 emails--thank you very much.
Currently working on 7 of 52 members who haven't engaged. I have one AOL account not responding that has the dirdel response. I checked several of our other AOL accounts and they all get the dirdel response, so I think it may be the rule and not the exception.??

I have a member (not moderated) that is trying to add information to a new wiki page. He is unable to add anything and I have changed settings to allow members to view and edit. Am I the only one (owner) that can start pages?

Hello GMF Members,

Occasionally a member will ask a personal question of another member but not click on the Private Button so that the question or sometimes the reply alone will get posted to the Message page.

When this happens is there a way –short of deleting the post– to toggle the message to display or hide it from view online at the group's site? I realize that this message may have also been sent out to all members who receive emails and digests, but it might well prove better that that post not remain permanently in the message archives –at least not visibly.

I ask because I've done several searches here on GMF and have not found this specific topic discussed.

No; they just sit there in your Members List. Once they are "red" bouncing, Groups.io stops trying, but there is nothing to stop you originating bounce probes if so desired.

They will remain in place until you delete them.

Win -- Short answer:? Bookmark the page in your browser and use that to come back next morning.

Longer, more technical answer:? If you look at the URL displayed in the address bar of your browser, the query string (part after the question mark) will increment by your "items per page" setting as you advance through the list. In your case there should be a "600" as the next-to-last entry in that string...this tells groups.io to start displaying attachments at the 600th entry (base zero addressing).

If you look at this sequence of comma-separated values, the first is the items per page, the second represents the sort key, the third the starting record, and I don't know what the fourth is. Try entering different numbers and see what happens.

BTW, one of the reasons we formed a group is to mentor our members in the computer skills they need to perform in their (non profit) volunteer role.
