please note that I have now set my time to the correct time zone. that was one of the problems but not all.?Sorry, I checked on Beta where I am not a moderator and I can't see Source Code there. So you won't for GMF. ?You should for your own group. As a moderator here, in Activity, I can see the correct time based on my time zone (set in Account preferences.) The system "translates" that to my time zone. The Source does not change the time for my time zone. It shows Pacific (where Groups.io is situated). Perhaps if you tell us what your problem is, someone else can chime in. Your initial question was: When someone sends a message to a group is that the time shown on the message.

Re: Avoiding storing attached photos
Ray,
? Like Bruce mentioned, moderate any messages with an attachment. :) ? I've seen some of the gmx emails with soft nudity images attached as ads.? So, moderating ANY messages with attachments is a good thing really. ? To prevent emails with attachments coming in, set the resolution to something like 488x488, it's about the size of a 3x5 card and is very small in KB size. ? Another option, create a members upload FILE section that you can moderate.? Then move the FILE to another location for read, viewing, download access only. ? These are all suggestions, some or all could be applicable to how your group wants to function. ? Bret |

I can always delete the duplicates periodically but it is time consuming.Groups.io has no way to determine if an incoming photo was sent intentionally or inadvertently. Even a dupe can be intentional. You could put all messages with attachments on moderation (Admin>Settings>Message Formatting>Attachments) and delete any dupes before they post. I haven't set it up myself but we do have a wiki page on it. Why not review that and then ask. Those who set up GMF's or another can answer your questions. Hope this helps on this holiday. /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Calendar---repeating-events Frances -- Moving to Groups.io (without easy transfer)
