Re: Failed transfers.....
Discovered I was getting the emails into PGO.? They just weren't visible in the window I was looking at (!)
As for what is still available from Yahoo (Verizon) this seems to vary from time to time.? On my largest list I've only gotten about the first half of it, but plan to keep trying as opportunity arises. |

Can we disable 'Likes'?
#featurerequest
Hello!
Can we disable the 'Like' option on the web group? I would like to keep the forum simple and don't resemble Facebook If there's no option for that, can I request an option to disable it? Thank you and regards. |

Re: How To? Typo in group email address
Bruce, thank you. I¡¯ve never used a wiki before and this section has a LOT of useful info. ?I followed the steps outlined to correct the typo in the email address. ?It did not work as I expected. ?I ended up with two groups. The original group and a second with the same name, but different membership. I was not an owner on the second group, or even a member. ?I¡¯m afraid I am just plain confused by this process. ?I started to delete the original group to begin fresh but I got a warning that the name would be unavailable for a while. No explanation of how long ¡°a while¡± might be. Any thoughts on what I might be doing incorrectly, or how long the name would be unavailable to start fresh? ?We need to transition our Yahoo membership as soon a sI can learn to manage GIO.

Looking at your email delivery history here in GMF, I see a lot of "blocked" and "server unavailable" errors. Past posts with the same complaint suggest this is typical behavior for spectrum/charter/rr...it's been reported over and over again. You could complain to Charter, as you are paying them to deliver emails to you, and they aren't holding up their end of the contract. But if you really want it to go away, your best bet is to get a gmail account or something like that.? At least groups.io tells you what's going on. Yahoo Groups would just silently fail to deliver your stuff. Bruce |

My two YGroups are now 'converted'!
Good Morning All,
This morning just now when I checked the status of my two remaining YGroups (GMF being one of them) they have now been converted and there's no longer any access to the message archives, etc. Refreshing those two pages repeatedly did not get my two groups to load any user content. What remains is the homepage for each one now stripped down to group title, text of group's description, and the Group Email addresses. Plus there is no masthead photo, just the YG generic one. So it now seems that Yahoo's dirty deed is finally 'fate(!) accompli'. . . . BTW, I had always found it more practical for me to read the new messages online at the YGroups' sites and since I personally do not want email replies from these remaining two YGroups forceably cluttering my inbox I will prolly unsubscribe from them in a few more days. My appreciation to the YG/GMF for all the help it afforded me over the years. I'll of course be staying on at the GIO version here. Paul M. CostaRicaLiving https: //groups.io/g/CostaRicaLiving == |
Re: Invalid request, no reverse DNS for.... Not just an Outlook problem
Ever since Mark said he increased the timeout for reverse DNS lookups I have had ZERO problems with this issue. Prior to that it was one out of 3 or 4 emails that would bounce back. I would say, for the time being anyway, this SOLVED the problem of the "no reverse DNS?error". Thank you Mark!?

Re: moderation
check only "New Users Moderated" and set "Unmoderate After" to "1 approved message". Thanks, Shal, (and, of course, Duane and Frances) for your reply. Yeah, this applies to my case, as there are very many email receivers and only few mail senders in my list. /Dirk |
