Re: premium -- not premium

That wrinkle Frances is not a problem for me.? As 11 days have passed since my group has been upgraded to premium, how much longer is it before it is transferred?? My members are getting antsy.

Each group needs to be upgraded to premium for a transfer. The only exception - you can make a Yahoo Group into a subgroup of another Groups.io group. However anyone who is a member of the subgroup has to be a member of the main group only. So figure out if that would work.

Re: clickable links in database

I did look at the wiki. This is what I did;
I went to files from the left margin of our group
I went to new folder
I entered the information
I pressed 'add'

The link shows up in blue (all members have access)
when I click on the link it tells me the size of the folder
Next to the name of the folder there is a gray circle with a white zero in it
The two PDF folders I added work...that I downloaded from my personal desktop

Advice?

Have you looked at the page in the wiki, /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Databases? That information works for me when setting up a database.? We'll need more information to try to help.? WHAT are still gray?? Exact steps may help duplicate the problem, if there is one.

Yes and no.? You can enter an address there, but it won't be linkified.? They'd need to copy and paste.

Same thing happens when I try to scroll page to page through a multiple page list of group names. ?Grey page numbers and no ability to move off page 1.

I hope is listening at some point . ?Sounds like several related bugs.

Is it possible to add a hyperlink in the description of a photo, to send the user to another website?

There has been some discussion. Just added a hashtag hoping that someone with experience will respond.

The archives for this organization are text based, no photos, files or videos.?

What format would the import use? How would the initial list subscriptions be imported??
?
Then of course what¡¯s the process for importing the list archives??

At this point, there is a transfer process for Yahoo Groups and (somewhat, I think) for Google Groups.

I am not looking to change the format how I take/save pics.? I am specifically asking about the EXPORT option that I pasted from Frances' post ('er message.).

I do wish there was an option to save pics at a reasonable physical size (hxw) - these huge pics are redicidoggle.
Ken, are you asking about exporting from Apple Photos??
That's the only export I mentioned.

As someone mentioned you can change your group settings in Groups.io - for storage AND for email.
Max Size In Photos Section
Max Size In Email
Both automatically resize if an image is larger than your group setting.

Try going to Admin > Members.? If there are any pending, it should take you to the proper view.? You can use the button at the upper left of that page to select other views.? (Admin > Pending is for messages, not members.)

It isn't possible on GIO.? There's been a lot of discussion about it on the beta group. In the end, it may be illegal to keep someone from deleting their own messages, especially in Europe with GDPR.

Raphael -- I'm not aware of any group setting that will keep your subscribers from deleting their own messages.

You can inhibit editing, but not deleting.

It causes serious difficulty for the archive of messages that has been running since the late 1990's. An archive of over 100,00 messages - each one "carefully stored and protected",

I've looked at settings and in this group's messages and can find no mention. Can anyone show me where this might be possible. I am happy that Moderator can delete messages, That's fine.

To preempt any queries I confirm that we really really do want to avoid members deleting their own messages.
Thanks for looking.
Have you tested to see whether you can see delete message in this group?

I just looked at Beta (I am a member there only), and I don't see the dropdown menu below a message.

A test worth doing!
