HEIC is a nominally standard format, but most graphics programs don't recognize it.

As you suggest, it's probably easiest to just change the setting for images you want to post to Groups.io.

However, HEIC appears to be the highest resolution image that Apple provides, so for archiving photos I download them from iCloud and save on my PC as HEIC, then use a converter to get JPGs.

Here's the (free) converter I use:

Works on PC or Mac.

Heic photo format (iPhone 11, iOS 13.2.3)

It looks like the new format for photos on my iPhone won't work with Groups.io.
Anyone else finding this, or is it just me?

What was then necessary was to add a Bank Account and set a Payment Schedule under Settings > Payments and Payouts > Bank accounts and scheduling. Adding the bank account requires you to set up a Direct Debit arrangement (to receive payments) and then a Payout schedule. You can select an Automatic Daily, Weekly or Monthly schedule, or a Manual schedule.
Thanks for the details about what to put in the Account Name, Legal Business Name, etc. That is especially useful.

I have updated the page of the wiki for future reference.?

So far, I've received one donation in my connected bank account and expecting another 4 payments on Monday 25th November.

Does that answer your question, sufficiently?

I agree.? My group logs in and wants to see what new photos were posted.? It would be great if there was a default of "Most recently modified" - either for everyone, or at least for a user to select.

I'd suggest contacting support, including the screenshot, group name, and any other details you can about what you'd done before you noticed it.? Better to send too much information than too little for something like this.? Probably a previously undiscovered bug.? It should only show positive numbers.

You can contact support to see if they'll offer any assistance.? I wouldn't expect much since it was the person requesting the transfer that did it incorrectly.? However, you may be able to do a second transfer to get the information into the main group, but it will be up to you to get rid of it in the subgroup.

Re: Admin dropdown number

Reboot your computer and see if it still persists. It could be coming from your computer.

No sure why it is minus 2. However if you open the dropdown menu you will likely see 2 messages waiting to be approved.

Re: Is this Failed message about Groups.io or the member's email address?

Cyndi,

Is this Failed message about Groups.io or the member's email address?

Failed - 550 5.7.1 [C15] RBL restriction: Blacklisted by Internal Reputation Service - 66.175.222.12
?
Both.
?
It is the member's email service saying that Groups.io's outbound email server (66.175.222.12) is on the service's blacklist. That service is refusing to deliver messages to that member's email address. And probably also to others that might use that service.
?
The afflicted member(s) will need to contact their email service to get them straightened out on their end. There's no reason they should blacklist Groups.io - unless a significant number of their users are marking Groups.io's messages as spam.
?
Or (IMO) the affected member(s) should choose a better email service. But then I have relatively little tolerance for email services that won't deliver the messages I want to receive. From my point of view they're not doing their job.

Hi Cyndi,

it indicates that the receiving email system rejected the message because it is thinking that this groups.io server is sending spam, what is not true.

So contact this member and tell him to use a different email provider.

There are other options, but they all make no fun at all:-)

Regards,

Isidro

When we did our transfer, we ended up with messages and files from our main group moved into a subgroup.? The main group is members.. everyone is a member.? The sub group is membership and is a committee that vets members to make sure they are people that should be in the membership (we are a non-profit and require a donation to be in the communications area).? So, members can no longer access messages or files that were in the yahoo group for them.? I can see how the mistake was made but cannot get any answer as to how to rectify it.? We did NOT move anything from membership over as the person who had originally started that particular committee yahoo group has since died and no one could give moderator status to move it, so everything that is the membership group should go back to the members group.

Are there still files that were pulled from yahoo that could be reloaded to the members group and just delete all of the old things from membership?? What can I do to facilitate this?
I can tell you that Groups.io essentially copies the messages, etc. from your Yahoo Group. Unless you deleted your Yahoo Group, everything should still be there.

You don't have to do anything. If you have an active Pending Subscription notice in a Restricted group, and someone sends an email or clicks on a link to join, the message is sent out automatically.

Then when you receive the reply from the potential member, you decide on whether or not you want the person as a member.
