Re: The Hashtags feature is part of which plan?

Hashtags are available with all plans.

You need to configure your settings to see who can set them, create them, etc.
In Admin, Setttings. Message Policies.

Also the link is only live for 24 hours.

Sample message: It will expire in 24 hours, on 10/22/2019 at 10:51pm EDT,
but you'll stay logged in for 30 days, unless and until you log out.

The Hashtags feature is part of which plan?

I don't see the hashtags feature mentioned on the plans page:?
/static/pricing

Is this feature part of all of the plans?

Did she type her email address into the box at the top of the page? Groups.io won't know where to send the login email if her address isn't provided.

Also make sure she provided the correct address (look it up for her in the group's member list). Many people have several email addresses these days.

Hi

I add a member to the group that I created, she is now member of the group but when she used the button:
Email me a link to log in
She never received an email in her mailbox and there is no spam.
Can you help us ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Create New Folder/Upload Folder to Files

Thanks Duane. The files/directory upload is going a bit faster.
I should have all the files uploaded by tomorrow.

Again, thanks for the info.

Re: Simultaneous transfer of sub-groups #yahoo #transfer #subgroups

Well, here's the wiki answer!

Note: you can't create any subgroups until the primary group gets approved. For more info on subgroups, see Why use a Subgroup for more information about subgroups.?
?
4 (b) Can I transfer more than one Yahoo Group into one Groups.io group?
?
Yes. The Premium Yearly plan allows multiple Yahoo Groups to be transferred to your Primary group and/or its subgroups. Be sure to transfer one at a time to avoid problems.
?
If you transfer more than one Yahoo Group into the same Primary or Subgroup the additional content appends to what's already been transferred. Any members already present in the Groups.io group will not be transferred again by later transfers.

Yes, just click on Date above the message area to get a descending sort.

Click on Date to change the sort order on the web group interface.

You might also look at the blue Topics options - expanded is kind of neat. Messages aren't threaded but you can see what's new.

If they don't already have an account, one is created for them.? You might want to read up on accessing the site without a password since they'll all need to know how if they want to access files, etc.? /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Logging-In? You can even send them the link to that page since it's available to the public.

BTW, none of us are part of Groups.io management, just other users trying to help folks.

Re: reply to sender/group

Ok... I'm continuing testing and I suppose it is possible that Thunderbird is the issue (my config of it), though I don't see anything in it's options that jumps out at me. The other possibility is it could be coming from my email server (I'm on a private server which hosts my company website harmonicservicesgroup), or specifically the "smartermail" system it uses. If something needs to be in the email header to make all this happen then perhaps it is not playing nice.

I keep hoping to find the pattern that solves the issue but no avail. I found one person's post from an earthlink.net address to work propertly (all Reply-to's) and another time only the reduced set. I added my own gmail account as another tester and messages sent from it end up with the full complement of Reply-to's, but when I respond with the hsg account I only get the reduced set.

Re message receipt: I'm testing both individual emails and digests. The digests always have the full complement of Reply-to's. It's the individual emails that are the problem.

Order of Messages

When I select Messages in my group on the web, see the first message in each topic is displayed rather than the most recent message. Is it possible to change the order to most recent first?

Re: Transferring Yahoo group after October 28

Hi Larry,

Sign in to Yahoogroups and look at the list of your groups on the left. Scroll down untll you see "All My Groups."? Click on that.

On the page with all your groups listed, find Membership Wizard at the top righthand column. Click it.
Mine says "Sorry, We could not find any unclaimed memberships using the email addresses below" so I cannot really say what you might see.

A friend who owned a list and could not get on it was able to get back on her list as owner by going to the Membership Wizard. Perhaps there was an unclaimed membership? When I was looking to move that group, my friend's?new "Yahoo ID" was in that group's members as was her old one.?

Hope this works.

-Betsy?

Sorry...I was thinking in terms of your personal sig line, not the group footer. Hopefully you found something useful in all that, though.

A point of clarification; will the information be the same every month or does it change? Yout post does not make it obvious. If the information stays the same then it can be set up as a Monthly Message and it will be sent automatically.

Group membership vs Groups.io membership

Hi, folks. I'm hoping to move a 5000+ member Yahoo group to your platform.? So, I've joined? Groups.io? as a member (subscriber?), created? the new group with you, and aligned the group settings
as closely as?possible to those of the old group. So far, so good.? Very good, actually.
?
Where I still have a question, however, is whether all those folks who are swept in from? Yahoo have any obligation to individually sign up with Groups.io? Or is that already done for them as part of the sweep.
?
Thanks.

Re: "Average Pace" of transfers

My Yahoo Group is now 350th in line to be imported into "groups.io"? ?It was 482nd a week ago.?? 132 groups in a week.?? So: 19 per day + however many expedited ahead of us.? My group is waiting.

Re: Editing Date / Time Stamps On Messages #date #email #post-transfer

Thanks Duane. Suspected so but still 'damn'!

Re: What if you don't want to pay for expedited transfer?

You can pay the $220 for a transfer and wait or pay an additional $200 extra, $420 total, for it to be expedited.? They're separate fees.
