Re: Incomplete Transfer

I have tried tens of times and no joy. Howard Hoyt The telcos use their own password scheme, so you can have a common password for email, home phone, and cellphone. Yahoo warned you about this several months ago and told you to get a real Yahoo ID to manage the groups. Did you do it? I did and made it a moderator. Then I logged in with that ID and made my old ID a moderator, too. But to make PGO work, I have to use the new Yahoo ID. Simply repeat my process and PGO will be able to log in, using the new ID. |
Re: transfer problem
I have the a similar issue. I invited [email protected] to my Yahoo group, but the invitation has not been accepted. If this is just a delay due to the volume of requests, I'm fine with that, but I worry that the invitation has not been received. Yahoo is such a mess.
You mention a status box I guess on the transfer page, but I don't know where to see that. Sorry for being a dumb newbie. |

Since that¡¯s not going to work going forward, I would like to transfer my Yahoo group to a subgroup for archives. Have a look on QRZ.com; there is an email address for him there which may or may not be the same as that you already have; if it's different then try it. With groups.io, the messages from?signupgenius are bouncing. Here is the error I see in our groups.io activity log: Non-member msprvs1=181969m0f3sot=bounces-85935@... attempted to send message "CCI at Applovin in San Francisco, 11/7/2019 Invite" via email It appears the groups.io is looking at the Sender field, not the From field. Is there any way to fix this? |

Hey Adam (and anybody else stuck with this problem),
It's possible that the email address that Y!G has for the list owner is actually a dead or abandoned address.? If you have that email address, try sending an email to the same name at gmail.com.? Example:? if the owner's email was tjohnson5@...,?try sending email to tjohnson5@...? If you know her name was Thea Johnson, try thea.johnson@....? This is just grasping at straws here, but nothing else has worked for you has it? If you know the person's name, or feel like doing some more sleuthing, try to do an internet search for their name and the clubs/interests you know about them.? You may be able to find their current email address. If you *do* find them, they'll still need to deal with Yahoo, or hopefully they'll remember their Y!G password. Good luck! |

24+ hours and no acceptance of Yahoo Group invitation to [email protected] from groups.io transfer agent
Adrian Segar
I wish to move an existing group from Yahoo to groups.io. I have set up the new group on groups.io and paid for a premium plan. I sent the invite from my Yahoo group for [email protected] to join the Yahoo group over 24 hours ago, but groups.io has not accepted the invitation. (In other words, I've not seen [email protected] join as a member of the Yahoo group.) According to the documentation, that invite should have gone out in a few hours. So I am stuck waiting. Please advise on what to do.
Thanks! -Adrian Segar- |
