Re: Managing Files & Photos
Robert,
Have you selected Delete Old Attachments for the Out of Space control in the Message Policies section of your group's Settings page? Is that a viable choice for your group? There are a couple of reasons it might not be suitable. First is that there is no mechanism (short of downloading and re-uploading) to protect useful content from auto-deletion - the babies go out with the bathwater. Second is that it does nothing about uploaded files or photos, only ones that arrive by email. 1) Is there any way to search/sort/filter the Photos by size, to maybe pick off some of the largest offenders?? I see where you can sort individual Files albums but size, but I can't find any such option for Photos Not that I'm aware of. A list view of a photo album, allowing one to sort by size and other columns would be a welcome addition. Or even just adding Size (storage) to the existing sort options. 2) Is it possible to delete or clear out the Emailed Photos album?? Not in bulk. You can delete them one by one in the Emailed Photos album, which causes the message to be marked as edited. You can also edit the message to delete its attachment(s). There have been several discussions in about ways to handle the rampant duplication of attached images in particular. The only thing that has been implemented so far is that images with a longest dimension of 100 pixels or less won't be displayed there. ? Alternatively, if I turn off the "allow attachments"? option for the group, then turn it back on, will it clear out that folder? I haven't tested this, but I doubt it.? If it worked I have to believe that someone would have mentioned it in GMF or beta by now. . 3) If I reduce the "max size in email" for Photos, will it auto-resize all the emailed photos that are there now? No. A method for in-place resizing of stored images is also something that's been suggested in the beta list. Managing Files & Photos
My group has run out of space for Files & Photos.? We're discussing the paid option to increase our allowed space, but I have some questions:

I see where you can sort individual Files albums but size, but I can't find any such option for Photos 2) Is it possible to delete or clear out the Emailed Photos album?? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have discovered the problem of not being able to sign in is being caused by the Google Chrome browser (Which I use all the time), as using the Microsoft Edge browser lets me sign in like normal. Chrome worked for me last night, but for some reason not today. ? Don |

Re: searching messages
Win,
Could you please report this?Bruce did, but I'd encourage you to report the details of your own experience to [email protected] so that Mark doesn't think it only affects members using the YYYY-MM-DD format. It's probably worth reporting your Browser and OS as well, just in case those are somehow a factor. Re: searching messages
Doug,
Please bear in mind that a large portion of the world - perhaps evenSorry, but YYYY-MM-DD is an international standard, ISO 8601. It is also the logical order, in that it sorts correctly in a plain text sort. That much of the world does something else is a historical fact, but new designs should allow, if not encourage, using the ISO standard format. And Groups.io does allow it (and I choose to use it). you may care to investigate this before making any upgrades..If you mean upgrades to Groups.io, I don't work there. So far as is known, no Groups.io employees are members of GMF. Have a look at the Date Display choices available on the Preferences page of your Account: you can choose DD.MM.YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD or MM/DD/YYYY. Use anything other than MM/DD/YYYY at the risk of finding bugs, apparently. Re: How many emails for group invites?
Dan,
How many email addresses can I send an invite to if our group is stillThere is no stated limit. However, if you invite more than 20 in a 24-hour period then your invitations will be held for review by Groups.io (an anti-spam measure). Approval is normally relatively prompt (hours to days) but may vary with weekends, holidays and vacations. When approved your entire list goes out, so if you have more than 20 to invite, you may as well do them in a single use of the Invite page so that you only wait for approval once. Re: How many emails for group invites?
Hi Dan, if memory serves me correctly, it is hundred and 20 and then anything after that has to be approved by the System administrator
