Re: Can Owners Change Members Email Address
No, there's no way for anyone other than the member to change it. They can change it if they can sign in to the site instead of creating a new account. On any page, at the upper right, they can click on their name, then select Account. It will show the email address they are using. To change it, enter the new one and click on Change Email just below it. They should receive an email to confirm the new one. If they do it this way, they're still associated to any posts, files, etc.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýps The downside of that method is the new email address won't be connected with the proof ones's membership page and actions. So better if they can do it themselves. Sent from my iPhone On Mar 27, 2017, at 3:27 PM, Nicole <groups2manage@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes, they have to do it themselves. Your plan is what I usually do if the member can't figure it out. J Sent from my iPhone On Mar 27, 2017, at 3:27 PM, Nicole <groups2manage@...> wrote:

Can Owners Change Members Email Address
Nicole
Hi everyone! Is there a way that owners can change members email addys? I don't know but I think members have to do it themselves. If so, what do I do, send her an invite at the new email, once she joins remove the old email from the group? Nicole P.S. Thank you Shal for answering my questions the other day. I will reply later. I never said thank you and I didn't want you to think I was being rude. |

Re: Can a Topic be Muted?
Hi I just sent a message about muting and following.?I discovered where I can see what is muted and followed by clicking on Duane's link. You must select Manage Subscriptions from Your Groups (in the blue banner). It is nice to have an overview, but I would like to be able to see this information in the specific group. Or at least some link to suggest this view of my subscriptions. Frances |

Also in either case, if you have deleted any message from the Topic before locking or moderating it, or do so in the future, or if you have renamed it, the moderation and locking fails when anyone responds to either the deleted message or the originally-named topic, respectively.

Re: Can a Topic be Muted?
Duane, where do I mute a topic?? I know that I can "follow" from my email - it brings me to a confirmation page on the group website. I did see a Muted in the menu on the left when I started to look at this but it has disappeared now.? Can you try it yourself and then give me specific instructions?? And I can't see the list of threads I follow. But I know that I do that from email and then I see the list. Frances |

Re: Can a Topic be Muted?
Mute is only for you, not the group. You can Mute (or Follow) a topic from your overview (/topics), once you're looking at the topic, at the top of the page. Locking is best if you don't want that thread used again. If it's getting 'rough', you could use Moderate Topic. Remember that in either case, someone can easily start a new Topic with the same subject matter.

Re: Trouble navigating to polls?
Not sure if this helps but there is a button in the messages view selector. Just discovered this earlier this week. ?Odd place(?) for it to be but it is there. When you click it goes to a page that contains all the polls: A link could be posted in the wiki. -- ?Archivist |

I am running my first poll and members are reporting similar problems. ?When they report problems to me, I tell them how I do it (click on the vote button in the email) but it doesn't work the same for them. ?Some gave up. ?Thankfully the poll is ending Sunday. Janice B AZ |

WIKI page sidebars and footers
K5ESS
When I add a sidebar or footer to a WIKI page it shows up on all WIKI pages not just the one I intended it for.? Is this the way that sidebars and footers are intended to work?? In most cases the content of the sidebar/footer would be totally out of context except for the page for which it was intended. Mike N.. |
