Re: EMAILING
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýEllen,
You can't do what Bruce asked until you actually receive the message. You haven't, have you?
Did it post in your group's Messages section? No sense looking for it by email if it didn't even post there. What did the group's activity log say about it? You should see some entry there at the time you sent the message. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |

Do they show up in the Admin -> Activity log?
Check your own activity log - Admin -> Members -> click on your entry -> Activity History (tab) -> Filter on Action = "Accepted Message" and click Search.? Should show your messages processed by the system, whether via web or via email. Re: EMAILING
SouthTexasHamFest had some good advice.
Just one more point - if you emailed your post, look at your group home page to make sure that you didn't inadvertently send it with the wrong email address. Remember that your email address is your account ID.? I have done that - did it just today! It was waiting for me to moderate it! Re: EMAILING
I am by no means any expert.
Some Mail Servers are instantaneous, other store and forward based on traffic, and some store and forward at given times/intervals. This can happen on Send AND/OR Receive. Like I said, im no expert, just my experience. Im sure someone has a better explanation. My question(s) would be Did you send from your Groups IO page or did you send the message from your email to the Group? Any attachments? Need a few more details. BTW: I like your "signature". I have actually started applying it to life (people) lately. :) -- visit ?- Texas Fastest Growing Hamfest ! |

Re: Gmail Spam Warning on Groups IO messages
I think this is part of the"new" gmail they recently released.
I got a Yellow banner w/warning text that the message may be spam on a couple of messages. It may have to do with the links in the messages. I simply clicked to indicated it was not spam. We'll see if I get more in spite of that. -- Bob Bellizzi Founder, Fuchs Friends?? |

Styling for the RSVP responses content allows very little room for display of response content, such that the content is truncated with an ellipsis (the full content is there in the HTML source). There is no way to drill down into an individual response to view all its content.I am unable to replicate this problem (that was posted back in early October). Can you send a screenshot? Have you subsequently figured out a work-around??What happens if you click on the ellipsis? Note that an ellipsis in message display is clickable and will expand to show hidden content (usually a quote).? ? I have not personally used this functionality of the calendar. If you don't get any further responses here you might have more luck posting in.? Regards, Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

Re: Question [about learning how to run a group]
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýKaiala,
As Duane said, GMF's wiki is intended to be a good place to start; most of its content came about from questions other people have asked. Don't worry too much about topics you don't need or understand, they may not fit your situation or the nature of your group(s). There are two aspects to running a group well. One we can call the "mechanics" of the job - knowing how to use the site's features and controls to do the things you need to do. The other is managing the members - dealing with questions, conflicts, and other issues that come up. The first thing to recognize is that there are many different types of groups. Many groups are "discussion" groups (like this one), where all members are invited to start new topics and reply to other member's topics. Other groups are more like classified ads, where members are invited to post new topics, but replies go off-list (directly to the sender of the post). I've only scratched the surface, but the take-away is that you may need to tell us a little about the nature of the group(s) as context for your questions. I'd suggest starting with the Wiki on this group, /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/home.? Then if you have specific questions, we're all here to help.

Re: [email protected] not working for me
I have no idea what has happened but after sending an email to the support desk (no reply by the way) I received an email overnight stating that the transfer has gone through. So head scratching time, however it now appears that everything is ok.
So the question I ask now is what page is shown after you press the green button to continue the transfer? Thanks one and all. |

Re: Gmail Spam Warning on Groups IO messages
Tom, Funny, but I just got a digest from this group and it was labeled as a scam in Thunderbird. I see that warning on list messages from time to time, I don't recall if I've seen it with anything from Groups.io though. What does Thunderbird use to make this determination? Anyone know? It probably has to do with the nature of the links, either in the Digest structure or in one or more of the contained messages. See for more information.
