I have a pending member waiting to join, however, before I approve her membership I want to see that she sent back the pending membership email. So she is sitting in the pending membership area.
?
That is all good but I just approved another member and I need to change her status so she can post to the group. Because the pending member is sitting there I am unable to see the complete membership list as it keeps on bringing me back to the approval member when I click on membership.
?
I cannot see the complete membership list. What am I doing wrong? Ilene

It's been my experience that those with plain text message delivery will not receive embedded images.?

If I look at My Account in Group 8 it shows the same email address as in Groups1-7. The password appears to be the same. at least it is nine digits. Here's a strange part-

When I LOG OUT of Group 8 and then log back in, I'm taken to My Groups list. But only 1-7 show up. I have to use Google to get to Group 8. And when I click on the link in Google and land on Group 8's home page, I'm already logged back in.

Yes, Group 8 was a Yahoo Groups transfer, but then all my Group IO memberships were Yahoo Group transfers. Everything seemed to run as usual when Group 8 decided to make the switch except, I noticed, my membership was never listed in the My Groups listing. I guess I have to contact support. I thought maybe someone else had also had this happen but I guess not.

About a poll and who can vote

I was just wondering if only members who are allowed to post in the group can vote in the poll. I have a poll going in one of my groups. It is a tag group. 90% of the members cannot post in the group. Only the members that offer tags can send mail to the group. It seems that they are the only members who are voting in my poll. The other members say they don't have access to the poll even though they are signed into the group.

How can you be sure what account "Group 8" is in since it does not show up in the account you believe it is in?

If you log out of your account, can you still access "Group 8?"

Is Group8 perhaps a group that was transferred from Yahoo groups? If so, it may be using an old account you were using on Yahoo groups. I transferred over several groups from Yahoo groups, which, for various reasons over time were associated with several different email addresses. That wasn't a problem at the time because I generally only used the web interface.

When I got here to groups.io, it took a while to get all of the groups consolidated into one account.

Do you know of anything "unusual" about the setup of group 8?? I can't think of anything that would keep it from showing up on Your Groups, just grasping at straws.? I'd send all the info to support as it seems there's a bug.

Thanks for that suggestion but?I have no clue about anything from the Emailed Photos folder and just looked at it now for the first time. There are over 16,000 photos there in one folder. I could get rid of them all and be happy.

Now does that get rid of the image from the attachment or the embedded?image.
My members sometimes in one email embed the graphic and also attach it.
It is a Graphic, tag sharing group.

I would think the best way to get rid of an attachment is to check of the box where it says delete and then send the message on,?hoping that the checked photo will be the only one deleted.
?
I only work from the approve messages list on the group pages.

I agree that clicking on "Save without Sending to Group" in this context is not particularly intuitive.

In some circumstances I've found it more straightforward to delete an undesirable [or duplicate] photo directly from the Emailed Photos folder, rather than using the "edit message" interface. Doing so is more-or-less equivalent to clicking on "Save without Sending," inasmuch as the OP is always notified. The only confusing thing about doing it this way is you have to remember the refresh the page before attempting to delete any other photos. See??

It's the same account and password as my other groups (including this one). Also, strangely, in the group that isn't listed on the Your Groups menu, Group 8, when I visit Group 8 and look at the Your Groups menu at the top left, it lists the other 7 groups but not Group 8.

In line photo broken #photos

 

A member both attached a jpg and pasted the same photo in the body of his email, composed in Outlook.?

The embedded pic came thru as the dreaded broken photo [ X ] icon. But not to all members/smart devices. I received both pics in my email but many got only the attached jpg and the broken pic icon for the iinline pic.?

Any ideas what caused this, do others experience this, and is it an io bug?

I've tested the posting of embedded photos in my group, and have been following this topic. Interestingly, I still don't see the Emailed Photos Album, even though they are classified as attachments in the Photos Album. Any idea why? Please see the screenshot of the Photos Album below.

My guess would be you are using a different email for the 8th group.

There's a separate Photos area for each group/subgroup.? Are you looking in the group that you sent it to?? (The summary for attachment size includes all groups/subgroups though.)

The groups shown are based on the account that you're logged in with.? It sounds like you may have a second account for the other group.? Easiest solution for that is to join that group with the account that shows all the others.

I need to see what I had selected when I checked off only 1 attachment.
I will wait until later on today and try it again when a new message comes in whether or not that graphic needs to be deleted.

So many messages come through my groups that I was unable to determine which message it had happened to, but that wasn't the first time it happened.

I didn't say anything because the graphics were embedded anyway and there really wasn't any need for the attachments. The member didn't have to do both. But it happened several times. If I did something wrong, well then that ought to be changed too because it only seemed logical to do what I did.

I will document exactly the selections I had made and report back here before I write to support.

If there was a bug, Mark has already fixed it. It works properly here,

That Red button really isn't even necessary here and perhaps should be removed, as if one wanted to delete the message, that would have been done by clicking on "Delete message" rather than "Edit message".

Group Not Displayed in 'Your Groups' Menu

 

I belong to about eight groups hosted by Groups.io. At the top left of the home pages there is a drop down menu that lists the groups I belong to. Seven of my groups are listed, one is not. I've looked for a way to add the group that is missing but have not found an answer.

Has anyone else had this problem, know how to fix it? It would make accessing the missing group much easier.

That sounds like a bug. If you haven't already you should probably
report this to [email protected] and cite the group name and message
number where this occurred.
